In the last week I have seen two people out and about with a little white box on the back of their arm near their tricep. It almost looks like a dental floss box. No markings, but attached with a clear medical tape. One person was in the pool, so it had to be high quality tape.
I am am assuming this is something medical related, not a fashion item. Can anyone educate me on what it is and how it works?
I ask because... 1. A general curiosity, not judgement 2. An upcoming 4th grader was one of the people I saw with this. We only have two fourth grade classrooms, so there is a 50/50 chance this student will be in my class.

I'm going to guess glucose meter. If you google glucose meter arm and look at the images you will see some like that.

I saw a commercial the other day for something similar. It delivers medication to people who had just received chemo. www.neulasta.com/onpro/

I am going to pray that other meds are delivered in this manner. I hate to think of our upcoming student having cancer. I had a student pass away this past school year. It was so terribly hard on the kiddos.

Yes, I saw the chemo commercial, too. One basketball player that we were playing (5th grade), one of the girls had this on her arm. I am more likely to believe it is glucose monitor and not the chemo one.

I was going to suggest Neulasta, but someone beat me to it. I am currently taking chemo and the Neulasta patch keeps me from having to go back to the doctor just to get a shot 24 hours later.

Sounds like an Omnipod insulin pump Or it could be a CGM, but that's a lot smaller and I just looked at mine, and there's writing on it.
