I need help on this one. The old pea board had a thread on this once but I can't remember all of the answers.
I spent the whole day at a water park yesterday and I was wearing a two-piece swimsuit that has boy shorts. The inside of my thighs are rubbed raw. I'm waddling around the house.
I remember the old pea thread was about boys and some of the answers were rip out the lining (which I don't have) or wear boxer briefs (which I can't). I asked my nephews if they ever got it but none of them did- probably because they are so skinny their legs don't rub together, but mine definitely do.
Anybody have ideas about what I can do to prevent this from happening? It hurts.

Gold Bond powder right now!! My boys and DH were always getting chafed when we would go to amusement parks and water parks. We always packed a container and sprinkled them before and after.
ETA: What we would do sometimes due to my youngest having the most skin issues is I would buy waterproof bandages in the largest size patch. We would put those on his upper thighs and it seemed to help.

Try some body glide or the Monistat anti-chafing stuff. You may need to reapply after swimming.

There are a bunch of brands of anti-chafing sticks. They look like deodorant and rub on. I found the Gold Bond Friction Defense Stick at Walmart before my last trip, and it worked great. My problem is shoes rubbing, but DD had trouble when wearing skirts on our last trip. We ended up carrying a small container with us during the day to use as needed.

I swear by Monistat Anti-chafing cream. It stays on for a long time and works extremely well. I include a tube in every bride's bag I give to the women I know getting married, every one of them has loved it and thanked me for it.

They LOVED THIS STUFF: Chamois Butt'r I second the recommendation! This stuff is supposed to work better in water than Body Glide. I use it when I ride my bike.

Land's End Swim Capris are AMAZING! These look like they would be really hot. Do they do well with sand?

I'm actually sitting at the water park wearing them right now (and I'm in Texas). I've worn them to two different beaches and they were perfect. I've been wanting them for a long time and finally bought myself a pair this year. I loved them so much I immediately ordered a second pair.

Land's End Swim Capris are AMAZING! Do you wear a swim suit bottom underneath, or are these the bottom? They are the bottom. I don't have anything on underneath. (I'm wearing them at the water park right now...actually 3 of my friends have them on too...we're big fans) They are made out of swim suit material.

I bought these last year (the plus-sizes start at 12 and have more room in the thighs)and because I'm short they are a bit longer on me. I due wear bottoms under them because the legs are full. Love having black shorts so I can wear any color tankini with them. Wore them all day at the beach and also for snorkeling. They dry fast. I just had to put on a tank top or tee to go into a restaraunt for lunch. Wearing capris would drive me nuts. www.swimsuitsforall.com/Beach-Belle-Punaluu-Plus-Size-Long-Board-ShortThere are several styles/colors available and they are on sale for less than $20 right now.

Monistat anti-chafing stuff I swear by Monistat Anti-chafing cream. I love that. It also has another great use that I first heard of on 2 P's. It's a great primer to use under your eye makeup!!! Works wonders!!!!

Thanks not Jennifer, but I bet it's by the foot care/inserts/powder, which in our store is by the pharmacy. that's where the anti-chafe and monkey butt stuff is anyway.
