I was at Costco this morning and as I approached my car, a man jumped out of his truck to put the case of water in my car for me. DH is usually with me to do the heavy lifting or I'll ask someone walking by or do it myself if no one is around. But what a great man to do that kindness for me.

Awwww, that was so nice. I love that there are still kind people out there. So many times, the attention is brought to the crap that goes on in this world vs the nice things.

Ok, I take that back. Someone knocked down our mailbox. Which I consider kind because dh will be forced to finally fix it. Lol!

Aww, CADoodlebug, that was so kind of him! My DH has done that before and it made my heart swell.
Nothing for me today, but the last time I was at Costco I was returning my cart to the corral (as a good pea should) and a man said to me 'you are a good woman". NO ONE returns carts at the WLV Costco, lol.

That's so sweet I'm trying my best to raise my boys to be that kind of a man. Yesterday I asked my oldest to carry a large bag of dog food for an older lady at our vet's office while we were waiting for our dogs from boarding.

How nice! And I have only been to cardiac rehab today with DD. But the UPS man brought me 3 pairs of new Alegria shoes I got on sale. Now that was NICE!

Not exactly - but I got a good laugh from what happened. This morning I was on my way into the building for a doctor's appointment; building has automatic doors. Two elderly couples were coming out. I waited for them to exit before going in. The first guy said "We opened the door for you." as they came out. Second older guy said "We'll hold the door open" as they came out. I had to laugh and say "thanks" as they passed me.

Two ladies moved their yoga mats to make a space for me at class this morning. If you've ever been to a group exercise or yoga class, you know how attached people are to *their* spaces. So I consider this VERY kind .

Today DH thanked me for his dinner, which he always does. We rarely take each other for granted and I appreciate that.
But I have a funny story from yesterday. I serve on the tills in a grocery store, and this little boy, about 5 with fresh air between him and his brand new bought-to-last school uniform, looked up at me and said "your hair looks nice!" I solemnly thanked him and he ran off to play with the baskets and I said to his mother "where did he get that from? Last time he was in her he said he liked my eye colour!" She said he had obviously heard someone complimenting someone else, and saw that their reaction was good and decided to do it himself. How about that? A gentleman in the making, at 5 years old.

I got a beautifully-written thank-you note from my nephew, for his graduation gift, but also just thanking us for all we've done for him and telling us how special we are to him. He is a wonderful young man.

My husband helped me get a turkey in the oven. He took all the nasty stuff inside it and took it right out to the trash!

Yes, I got a lovely card in the post today from JoP! It really cheered me up. She is one of the nicest Peas around, and I'm so looking forward to meeting her at our Britpea get-together.

The president and marketing manager from one of the major vendors I used on a previous project stopped by to meet me in person and take me to lunch. It was really nice of them, beyond being a sales call. I normally would have met them during the course of the project, but I no longer travel for work, due to DH's illness. They know that and made time to see me.

Does yesterday count? I was putting off unloading the dishwasher, I just could not make myself do it. When I finally went in to do it, it was done. And he made dinner.

A nice man installed a new air conditioner in my house, replacing the broken one. The only downside is he expected to be paid. As hot as it is I decided not to argue with him.

Quite a few people really. My Dh made dinner using the colored peppers I had bought because I love them. My cousin's daughter and my son's girlfriend both messaged me asking for advice about problems they were having which was nice that they think of me that way.
A coworker went to the store and got a candy bar. I didn't want one but then I changed my mind and she split it with me.

I have a Jeep Liberty, the 2007 model where the window regulators (the part that rolls the windows up and down) breaks constantly. My friend came over today to help me replace another broken regulator. This is the 3rd one he's helped me fix - the last one was just 2 months ago! In all, I've replace all 4 window regulators, one of them twice now. GRRR... But, I am so thankful for my friend. He saved me $400 each time!

Nothing today, but a man stopped to help me get 2 cases of water into my vehicle at Costco, once, too! I was so appreciative because it was hot out, late in the afternoon, and I was already run down from running errands that day. I had no energy left!

One of my 14 yo twins is currently mowing our 1 acre yard. He even stopped and moved the picnic table to mow under it.

My husband came home from work in a crappy mood and promptly locked himself in our spare room so I don't have to be subjected to his rotten mood. He will come out once he has cooled off.

I love reading that. All I can think of is that someone held the door for me and didn't slam it in my face. So that's something... SaveSave

This happened a couple weeks ago. I got home and was pulling into my driveway when I noticed my next door neighbors trimming my bushes perfectly. I asked them to get off of my property(we joke around a lot) and then seriously asked them why they were doing this for us? They did it, because they know that dh is busy working full time and taking care of me full time. Dh will give them tech support once in a while and my neighbors think that's cause for them to do lots of heavy work in our yard once in a while. I've never had such wonderful neighbors and feel very blessed. I love my house, because it comes w/the world's best neighbors.
