DH and I stayed with my parents for a couple of weeks over 12 years ago. We were between places and DH had to renew his license, so he used my parents address. Now the underwriter would like a statement of when we lived there and in all honesty, I can't remember the month or the exact year and I don't know how long after we moved DH updated his address at the DMV.
Is there anywhere I can find this information?

Doesn't his license have an issuance date on it? I'd use your best estimate based on that.

Doesn't his license have an issuance date on it? I'd use your best estimate based on that. Unfortuately he has had to renew a couple of times since then. I don't think he has his old license. His credit report has the address listed, but not dates. If I can't find the information and am off by a couple of months, can they find it? And if they can, why don't they just use their information. I don't want to screw this up.

Is there anyone there (at the mortgage office) you can ask about it? As in asking just how precise you need to be. It's not always easy remembering all of that info when you've lived several places. Sometimes I wonder if the folks who decided that these questions should be included are able to easily answer the question themselves. SaveSave

If you don't know the exact dates, I don't see how the mortgage company can figure it out. I'd make a best guess and call it good.

When I don't know exact dates, I always write "approx" before it. I really don't think you are going to get denied solely because your dates were off from an address 12 years ago. Maybe for another reason, but not for those approximated dates.
