your favorites and let me know what genre they are in. A friend is having surgery that will require her eyes to be patched shut for maybe up to 2 weeks depending on healing and we thought audiobooks would be a nice way to pass some of that time.
I'll go first:
The Wedding Dress by Rachel Hauck (Romance)

My favorite audiobooks are the Harry Potter series. I've read all of the books more than once, but I've also listened to them on audio multiple times.

The Shadoow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. It's historical fiction and the first in a trilogy, but stands alone well. It's one of my very favourite audiobooks. I'm currently listening to The Fireman by Joe Hill. It's narrated by Kate Mulgrew. It's a very long book, but I'm enjoying it.

Any of the Kate Morton books. Fiction/Romance.
The Informationist by Taylor Stevens. Thriller. [1st in the series]
I just finished the Mr Mercedes trilogy by Steven King. I thought the second one Finders Keepers was the best.

It's a great story (a mystery) and the narration is really lovely. The story is set in Barcelona and the narrator has a beautiful Castilian accent which I loved listening to as much as I loved the story. Another great audiobook was 11/22/63 by Stephen King. Almost everyone I know who has read this book loves the story and the narration of the audiobook was very good.

I really enjoy the JD Robb "In Death" series. This is one of Nora Roberts' pen names. They are set in 2060 and the main character is a police detective. There are some sex scenes. There are also some pretty harsh crime scene descriptions. So they're not for everyone. I did start 1/2 way through the series because I read the first 8 books in paperback. There are at least 25 books so far.

Kate Morton's The Secret Garden and Jojo Moyes' Me Before You were good...I love the accents of the narrators!

One of my absolute favorite series to listen to is by Elizabeth Peters, her Amelia Peabody mystery series. Set in 1890s-1915ish. She is an amateur sleuth along with her archeologist husband in Egypt. Very descriptive writing and full of humor. There are at least 12 books in the series. Crocodile on the Sandbank is the first.

I have not listened to many audio books because I commute with my husband. We listened to a few books last year, and I discovered that I really dislike a very popular reader. R.C. Bray -- I had to look him up. Good heavens, I disliked him.
But we very much enjoyed three books by professional entertainers -- "Yes, Please" by Amy Poehler, "Bossypants" by Tina Fey, and "Born Standing Up" by Steve Martin. Steve Martin's book was darker and more serious than I expected (he *really* didn't get along with his father), but it was a fascinating look into how *he* saw his career. Tina Fey is angrier than she comes across on TV, but really smart. And Amy Poehler is just a doll, very positive and happy, and she got soooooo many other celebrities to contribute specifically to the audiobook. It's my favorite.

I listened to The Truth About The Harry Quebert Affair. It was great! Long, but well done. It's being released as a movie this fall.

Ds & I loved the 'Number 1 Ladies detective agency' by Alexander McCall Smith. The series is set in Botswana and I loved the reader's voice. A delightful cozy mystery series.
Loved the Marisa de los Santos series, 'Love walked in', 'Belong to Me'. Two wonderful novels.
I only listened to HP #7 on audio but it was great & long.
