I have curly/wavy hair, depending on the length. I've always used pantene curly and they changed the formula. It's horrible now. I tried a regular Pantene moisturizing conditioner today. It's ok. Not great for the curls.
So, what is your favorite conditioner for curly hair?

You should check out the DevaCurl line, it's for curly girls. I use their shampoo called LooPoo, initially they only had LowPoo which means shampoo with no lather. Their shampoo also has no sulfates, parabans or silicone. No harsh chemicals means no more dryness or frizz they claim. www.devacurl.com/

I have curly hair and have found Biolage shampoo and conditioner work well for me. I use their color care line. I co-wash about every other day (conditioner only).

I use Devacurl too. I use the no poo shampoo and one of their conditioners.
Another brand that is sulfate, silicone and paraban free is ACURE. You can find it at Target. It's not in the shampoo aisle, but in the beauty aisle where the other "natural" products are (Burt's Bees, etc.) I forgot my Deva Curl at the lake and my options were a little limited where we were.i did some googling and this one got high marks. I used the restorative one and it seems to be pretty good at conditioning.

I've tried just about everything...it seems like I have to chagrin it up every once in a while. My hair is loving Has Keratin shampoo and conditioner right now. No fizz even with God awful southern heat. Our index was 103 today....hair isn't even fizzy.

When I have hair, I'm a Deva girl although the hardness of the water here means I can't get away with using just No Poo. I have to use a sulfate-free shampoo at least a couple of times a week or my hair gets, um, weird. I love the Deva conditioner though. Love it.

I just switched my girls to LOMA shampoo and conditioner and I love everything about it. The conditioner makes their curly hair so smooth and silky that I'm considering using it.
I currently use a sulphate free shampoo/conditioner by kerestases for my curly hair. It's fantastic - called something with fluid in the name - but it is $$$. It's the one to use with keratin treatment. I don't have the treatment but the shampoo /conditioner is great. The LOMA was more reasonable but not cheap.

I've been using Kinky Curly Knot Today leave-in conditioner on DD's waist length curly/wavy hair. It seems to help with getting a comb through it.

I'm one of the weird curlies who doesn't like the Deva line. I've tried it (a few times - I keep having high hopes), but I just don't like what it does to my hair. I've been using L'Oreal's EverPure shampoo and conditioner for a while now and really like it. (DH likes it too, on the itty bitty amount of hair that he still has.) Once or twice a week, I use OGX Sea Mineral Moisture shampoo and conditioner as well. My hair does better when it gets a break from its normal stuff, and I've found this combination works great for me.

What's the porosity of your hair? That may make a difference on how products work for you. If you have low porosity hair, for instance, some products may just sit on top of the hair and not actually be absorbed. (this is me) Here's some info from naturallycurly.com about it: hair porosity If you find your hair type on the naturallycurly site, they also have a list of recommended products by type you could check out. I don't get good results with low/no sulfate products--my hair ends up feeling like straw. But, I've recently discovered that hard water can make a big difference, so I think I'm going to try the Ion line next..it's supposed to be good for hard water. Oh, and I'm a 2c/3a curl type, dense, and low porosity.

I also don't care for the Deva line. I've tried the products and they just don't work well in my hair. I'm a 2C with high porosity. My hair strands themselves are thin, but I have a ton of hair. My hair takes hours to dry naturally, but I threw out my hairdryer years ago. I always let my hair dry naturally. After trying many, many products I finally found "the one". My favorite line can be found at www.frizzoff.com Their products are called Curly Hair Solutions. My hair loves their Silk Shampoo, and I prefer using their Pure Silk Protein Deep Moisturizing Treatment for my conditioner (because I color my hair) and it needs a heavy duty conditioner. They have others to choose from if you need a lighter one. I also use their Curl Keeper Leave in Conditioner and their Curl Keeper Original which is like a very wet solution that works like a gel. It removes all of the frizz and creates amazing curls. I order these now from Amazon but at first when I found these products I ordered from this site. You can learn all about them from this site, and how they are made-they don't use heavy oils and butters. They are made to lock in the moisture from water. Once the Curl Keeper dries in my hair I can reactivate the next day simply by rewetting my hair. It really is amazing. The line also has the nasty stuff taken out-parabens, sulfates all of that which makes a difference in my hair. I've been using this line for about 2 1/2 years now and really love it. They do have trail packs so you can try it out cheaper, or they have small sizes you can order on almost all of the products. I first tried a trail pack for wavy hair but my hair needed more conditioning so then I tried the one for really curly hair that had the conditioner I needed in it and the more conditioning shampoo. My hair is also very dry because I have hypothyroid. Debbie in MD.

I like L'Oreal EverPure for shampoo and conditioner. I use the one for colored hair rather than the one for curly hair.

THEY CHANGED PANTENE? ? Breathing... I use the same Pantene Conditioner and DevaCurl's conditioners. I sort of alternate between them because the DevaCurl is pricey and Pantene is less so. I basically use Pantese to make the DevaCurl last longer. Some days, I'll even use both at once. Dh bought a ton of it a while ago and now I feel like I will need to conserve it. I never use shampoo anymore, not even LoPoo. My hair is somewhere between 2c/3a and is low porosity, if that helps.

The new Pantene formula is horrible. I noticed right away. I emailed and they sent me a bunch of coupons for free stuff. I managed to livk out and find one without the new formula, but now all the bottles are marked new. Tried one of those and it's the same horrible stuff.
I tried obx coconut curls today. It's not horrible, but it's not keeping the curls formed. They look stretched and all over the place.
I'm going to have a giant collection when I'm done. At least they will be good for shaving.

My hairdresser has warned me away from all Pantene products. For a drugstore line, I've had good luck with Dove. If I'm willing to spend a little more, I like L'anza products.
I also highly recommend the Parlor by Jeff Chastain sea salt spray. My curly/wavy hair has been loving that stuff this summer.

I used a K-Pak from Joico. It is for colour treated hair, though. It works great on my curls. (I can't believe I can post in here as my hair is really curly now!!!!!!!)
I don't brush my hair unless I am going to straighten it. I just wear it scrunched with some gel for curly hair.

I wish I could use conditioner. I always knew that I had sensitive scalp, but I thought it was the shampoos that seemed to burn, however much I rinsed. My scalp goes red in patches, then scaly and itchy, then flakes off. I ran out of conditioner on holiday, and the burning stopped. I stopped using it. Every now and then my hair will look a bit dry and I'll put some conditioner on the ends (I have a short curly bob so only getting on the ends is almost impossible) and the rash comes straight back. Lesson learned.
I use a light Moroccan oil, or a silicone-based serum on it, then the gel, and half dry with a diffuser.

I've been using Jessicurl Too Shea conditioner, and my hair seems to really like it. I use a shampoo that is only available in Australia. My hair does not do well with no poo. For a curl cream I currently use Innersense, and follow it with Jessicurl Spiralicious gel. My hair is 3a, low porosity.
