At this point, it is probably better to error on having the driver (and passengers maybe) stick their hands out the window as the officer approaches. I'm a white female and while I have been pulled over only a couple of times, one of the officers was an ass. I stayed polite to him (as I had with the others) and while he made me feel irritated and bad, I was never fearful. I can't imagine what it must be like to be praying a traffic stop doesn't go bad. (on either side) |

Ballwin is basically an area with no crime. I believe it was named #17 on the list of safest cities in America. It is just a quiet community, so this is shocking. They are reporting that the shooter is a convicted felon. I am hearing there will be a press conference at 3:00. The officer is in surgery. There are reports that people from the community were giving the officer first aid and CPR.
