I have been ordering the target beauty boxes and I subscribe to the Ipsy glam bag. I also get freebies from Clinique when they have their special running. I seem to be accumulating lots of good stuff that I will use eventually, but I don't know what to put it all in!

Just a make up bag. I have two smaller ones for brushes and mascara, eye crayons and liners. I prefer it all tucked away neatly.

A few of my items have a home on the sink, but most of it is in a little drawer.

Old house, no drawers on 'vanity'. Anything that gets used in my bathroom has to be pared down to only the most useful items, and also creatively stored. I have an old coca-cola crate on the wall for make up, and glass frogs for make up brushes. Similar to this:

Mine is in two drawers in the bathroom. I also have a tray on the counter with a few of the products I use daily. I like the creative solution that anxiousmom uses! The idea of flower frogs for makeup brushes is new to me.

I have an acrylic makeup holder on the vanity for the things I use most often. Extra stuff is stored in drawers inside the lower cabinet.

I have a bamboo drawer divider that didn't fit in my drawer, so it's on the counter between the two sinks. Extras are in the top drawer directly below. I have small plastic dividers from dollar tree in there.

I have acrylic trays from TJMaxx. 3 of them in different sizes. I also use one of the 5 drawer organizers (smallest one) to hold random things like samples, extra liners, lipsticks etc that I don't use often.

I use this bag for my everyday stuff. I travel a lot, and it is awesome for keeping it all together. I have a cute votive holder for brushes and taller stuff. I use all those ipsy bags for the extras and for my jewelry when I travel.

I have an acrylic make-up holder and acrylic lipstick holder (from Clinique freebies over 20 years ago!) that I store under the sink. I also have a wide drawer with several of the plastic drawer dividers in a couple sizes. One for brushes, one for my spare make-up (I usually replace newly opened makeup almost immediately), one for hair stuff, one for toothbrush/paste, etc. I don't like things on the counter and was so sad when I couldn't see anymore and had to get a magnifying make-up mirror that sits there now.
TJMaxx has a lot of nice, assorted sizes of acrylic make-up holders.

Drawer in the bathroom.

Nearly all of it is kept in the top drawer of the bathroom counter and that is organized with these acrylic drawer organizers. What doesn't fit (bottles/brushes), is on the bottom shelf of the cabinet to one side of the sink. When I was still sharing the master bath with DH, I used an acrylic makeup organizer on the counter and the rest went into a drawer.

I have two smallish makeup bags. (To give you an idea of size, they each fit in a pocket of an over the door shoe organizer).
One for the stuff I wear just about every day (well, work days. Days off I tend to go bare).
One is for all the other stuff. The many eyeshadows that I try and like well enough, but not for every day. Lip glosses. Lipsticks. Just everything that isn't everyday.

I keep my every day stuff in a small three drawer organizer on top of my counter. It can be tucked under the sink when guests come around, I like to get ready in the guest bathroom.
Stuff I don't use as often gets divided amongst my various ipsy bags and they are in a drawer.

I have an entire drawer in my vanity that I put these plastic organizers in. I bought them at target. They have taller center spots and lower edge spots. The tall sections keep the brushes standing up. They take up most of the drawer and the little one inch gap on the side of them is where I stuff my eye shadow palettes standing on edge between the organizer and the drawer. They fit perfect right there!!

The things I use every day are in a make up bag in the bathroom vanity cabinet. The rest is in my top dresser drawer - it's kind of a junk drawer with make up, hair accessories, nail polish and other things like that.

I use a small travel kate spade bag. I don't have that much stuff I use on a regular basis. There is also a drawer in my bathroom with other stuff but I should really just throw it out because I never use it and it's old!

I'm a makeup fanatic, so I have a ton of it. I like to change things up frequently.
I'm lucky to have tons of storage in my bathroom, though, so it's not a problem.
My bathroom has a large, long vanity with two sinks and a place for a stool so I can sit and do makeup. There are large, deep double cabinets under each sink and a large, wide drawer in between the sinks. Then there are 3 deep drawers at the end of the vanity and a floor to ceiling cupboard between the vanity and the separate WC room.
My everyday makeup like primer, foundation, powder, etc. is in a train case that matches my bathroom decor and sits on the vanity. In the cabinet under one sink are two 3 drawer storage units, one for eye makeup and one for lip makeup. Then one of the drawers of the vanity is for stuff that came in my ipsy bag that I want to try soon. After I try it I will move it from that drawer to the appropriate drawer in one of the storage units under the sink.

There is only a medicine cabinet behind the (small) mirror in my bathroom for storage. I keep a little cup in there that holds an eyeliner pencil and two mascaras (one waterproof, one not). On my bedroom dresser is a little tote made of cardstock (I made it in a SU workshop a zillion years ago) that holds a couple of lipsticks/gloss. That's all I wear on a regular basis.
In a bedroom cabinet is a makeup bag (freebie from some cosmetics company) that holds concealer, eyeshadow, blush, etc. - the stuff I used to use when I was performing. I hardly ever take it out nowadays.
In the same cabinet is a basket full of old, random makeup that should probably be thrown out. Unfortunately, the basket also holds things like my spare eyeglasses, travel jewelry bag, etc., so I can't just throw the whole thing out - it will have to be a Project some rainy day.

I tried different methods--acrylic organizers on bathroom counters, drawers, etc.
I finally decided to get a Caboodles Train Case LOVE it--the accordion trays are perfect for organizing my eyeliners, blushes/bronzers, lipsticks, etc. and the bottom compartment is large enough for my eyeshadow palettes, jars of skincare products, makeup remover cloths...
So easy to just close up and take with me when I go to my inlaws, etc. --I would pare down my choices if I were to fly somewhere.
I also have a brush container on my bathroom vanity. I bought an inexpensive square glass vase at a craft store and filled it with smooth black rocks. Not only are all my brushes right at my fingertips, the rocks hold the brushes in place while they dry. --every once in awhile I dump the rocks in the warm, soapy water I use to wash my brushes and let them sit in there until they dry.
I read a ton of organizing books and have slowly but surely found systems that work for me. For my handbags, which I love to switch out, I have corralled everything with smaller containers. My wallet is a Coach leather wristlet with a metal business card case (I found one with a pretty red faux crocodile front really cheap at TJ Maxx) to make it easy to find my driver's license, insurance card, debit and credit cards amongst my most used shopper cards, Sam's and Costco IDs, etc. I love how easy it is to just grab my wallet and hang it on my wrist--plus the strap is easy to loop around my bag strap so nobody can just grab my wallet out of my bag when I'm not looking.
I have another little wristlet to hold my cosmetics--lip balms, travel sized mascara, Yves St Laurent touche eclat pen (I often notice how dark my under eyes are once I get out into the sunlight), etc.
I also found a great Ralph Lauren turquoise makeup case at TJ Maxx which is the perfect size for my sunglasses.
Now I'm slowly figuring out how to best organize my accessories and wardrobe. I just went to Homegoods and found some great items. Lots of acrylic organizers, really gorgeous boxes -- my favourites were woven metallic silver with chrome handles $8-$10. They even had one of those full length mirrors on a stand that have an inside compartment for your jewellery, etc. It was beautiful--and $130--most I've seen are $200-$300 and not nearly as nice. (creamy white with a bevelled mirror and brass lock and key)
