Right now, I think the majority of their time is taken up looking at their phones. Beyond that, both of mine (20/18) work, go to school, and the oldest is in the National Guard.

DD #1 is a nurse and was taking classes to complete her masters. She has done labor and delivery, rehab and institutional nursing, as well as an instructor. DD - #2 is a clinical/compound Pharmacist, is an avid hiker, cross-fit fanatic, all things outdoors type person and an animal lover/rescuer. Loves to draw and do DIY home improvements big or small. She isn't afraid to get her hands dirty or of hard labor. DSIL of DD#2 is a licensed Psychologist, has masters working on his PhD and now going for another degree as well. He is a adventure thrill-seeker kind of guy. Loves to play guitar and sing, draw. He is very handy doing major home improvements. DGS #1 (DD#1) is a manager at a call center and was just accepted to an Audio/Visual school. He wants to be a music producer. Anything related to any type of music is what occupies his time, other than work and saving money for the big move the first of the year. DGS #2 (DD#1) is a typical 14 year old. Sports, video games and mythical books/creatures. He is a bit nerdy while being jockish at the same time. He also cracks himself up on a regular basis and is too smart for his own good.

DD is 12. She does Tae Kwon Do, plays clarinet and love to make silly videos (she's begging for a Youtube cannel) She is going to be in advanced math which makes me wonder if she was switched at birth, since I just barely passed math when I was in school.

Jared-is turning 16 in a few weeks. He will be in the 10th grade this year (home schooled). He plays a lot of video games and will be taking some community college classes on video game programming this fall. Since he has Asperger's and a few other issues, we are taking it very slow getting his learners permit and such. Since he is home schooled, I have to do paperwork to be a legit Drivers Ed teacher, which is going slow as I have a hard time getting off work in order to get to the DMV.
Emmy-is 13.5 years old. She is an "old Soul", very nurturing, very caring. She is entering the 8th grade this year (home schooled). She loves to bake, and would love to have a bakery as an adult. Her schooling is focused on culinary arts. She is also learning mechanic skills as she wants to learn to drive my old Jeep, which always seems to need to be tinkered with, lol.

DS is 17, and very into power lifting (won the National championships a while back), and with that and school he doesn't have time for much else.
DD is 10, loves horses, dogs, cats and especially her four pet bunnies, drama school and her friends. She thrives at school and wants to be a vet or an actress when she grows up.

Mine are 13 and 15. They go to school and look at their phones, and whine about doing chores. They must occasionally study and do homework, because their grades are good, and I hear the youngest one practicing her viola from time to time. The oldest one writes poetry and short stories, but I'm not allowed to read any of it. The younger one follows the older one on Instagram and Snapchat to keep her in check, which I think is hilarious. ETA: I made them take a mom selfie with me this afternoon.

Will is 18 and headed to college at the end of the summer to study clarinet performance. He wants to work in classical music -- be it performance, library, business, or whatever. He's in Western Mass with the Boston University Tanglewood Institute youth wind ensemble for July. Jane is 21, just graduated from college, and started work as a software engineer a few weeks ago. So far, she really likes it. This weekend she and her boyfriend are moving into their first apartment.

Dd 20 will be a college senior in August (ack! how did that happen?). And actually I should give her age as "almost 21" because she's counting the days till Aug. 12 when she will be 21. lol At the moment she's doing nothing but laying on the couch recovering from knee surgery. She's been occupying her time between physical therapy appointments by watching TV, Netflix, surfing around online, doing things on her phone, coloring, and enjoying visits from friends.
Ds 24 will be starting college in August. He took several years off, worked, did an internship, etc. and we're thrilled that he's decided to go to school. He lives in Georgia but he's here for the summer, working as director of a camp that he's worked for since he was 14. He was a camper, then hired as an unpaid counselor-in-training, then as counselor, now as director of this camp (while the owner directs a camp in the next county over).
I'm enjoying having them both home, although waiting on dd is starting to get old for both of us. She is SO ready for the orthopedist to unlock the knee of her brace so she can bend it a little bit! And to give her permission to put weight on that foot. Our appointment is this coming Friday so we will see....

I've thought the same thing at times with our youngest! She is so much more advanced then both her dad and I. I wonder if it's Tae Kwon Do and for her, the 4-H too. They are both very goal orientated Dh graduated high school, but has no college and I dropped out and got my high school diploma when I was 31. Dd is in honors, knows she is going to college and has decided on her career. I love how smart she is and we are very lucky she's used her smarts for good!

My 13 year old DD is going into 8th grade. She plays the viola, is involved in the school orchestra, auditioned and won a spot in our community youth strings orchestra 😀. Her true love is color guard and she is a member of both the winter guard and parade band guard. Then there is my 10 year old DD who is entering 5th grade and plays the clarinet. She also plays soccer but her true love is dance. She's going on her 4th year as a competition dancer and starts summer classes this week. Here they are, big sis doing little sis' make-up before a comp: Great thread topic btw! Attachments:

DS1 is a chemical engineer in Houston. His wife is also an engineer and they have two beautiful children.
DD1 is an optometrist with her own practice. She and her fiancé love to (slowly) flip houses.
DD2 has an undergrad degree in SPL and a masters in adapted physical activities. She is returning to school next month to complete a masters in SPL. Hopefully she will then get a full time job and get off y payroll!
DS2 is working construction and is on a sponsored hunting and fishing team. He is considering returning to school to finish up his electrical engineering degree but for now is happy and doing quite well financially in the construction business.
DD2 and DS2 still live at home and I will miss them dreadfully when they finally fly the coop.

DS#1 is almost 27. He is a senior account manager for a small software developer. He lives in Philadelphia and loves movies, live music, and hanging out with his friends.
DS#2 just turned 23. He is student teaching in the fall and then he is hoping to find a job as a high school social studies teacher. He would like to move out west somewhere. I am hoping it works out for him and hoping it doesn't for me, all at the same time. He enjoys reading, computers, and travel and does home micro-brewing in his free time.

Seth 26 is a welder that builds trailers. If you live in the midwest and have a trailer, he probably worked on it. Tanner, 21 (almost 22) works with the Missouri Baptist organization working in the A/V technical stuff that mom doesn't understand.
My soon to be DIL (of Seth) is a CNA and a very talented artist. She draws graphic novels. Tanner's gf (whom will probably be my DIL some day, she's a perfect fit) is head of dispatch and has a degree in emergency management. Someday she'll be working for a state (or higher!) department.
Very proud of all of them.

DD#1 just turn 33 on the 4th of July. She is a SAHM of our adorable grands, E is 3 and CJ is 10 months. SIL is a chemical engineer, unfortunately his job keeps them on the opposite coast from us, they are in OR, we are in SW FL. Too far away from those cute grands.
DS is 31, will be 32 on New Year's Eve (I sure know how to celebrate holidays, huh??). He's close to finishing his PhD in Biology in TN. Not sure where he'll be after that... he likes the research he's doing with DNA now, related to alternative fuel. I see him somewhere he can have a big garden, tho.
DD#2 will be 27 in a few days. She's married and lives outside DC. She has a masters in linguistics and works for the company that is developing the software for the new General Motors cars for everything from navigation systems to self driving. She's my little foodie kid - at 5 she would stand beside me at a buffet at a Chinese restaurant saying things like "does that say eel? Give me 2", LOL.

My son Matt, 31, is wharehouse manager for a collectibles company. They sell figurines, life size figures etc., of Marvel, Star Wars etc. all the action figures and collectibles you see on The Big Bang Theory come from his work. He and another guy deliver them to set day of filming and then haul them back afterward. They also have the second largest booth at San Diego ComicCon after Marvel. He loves his job and they treat their employees really well.

DD1 is 12 almost 13 and she spends her time reading, playing video games, drawing, writing stories, and she dances. She loves ballet and has just changed dance studios so she can focus completely on ballet.
DS is 10 and he spends his days playing video games, watching Star Trek, and playing golf. He recently started taking golf lessons and he loves it. DH hasn't played in years but DS got him out on the course yesterday. They had a blast.
DD2 is 7 and she is constantly moving. She never sits still unless it is to watch My Little Pony or Casper on Netflix. She also dances but she really wants to try basketball. Her Tball coach from the spring is friends with the high school basketball coach and he told the basketball coach to keep an eye out for my dd. I guess that means we get to add something else to our busy schedules.
