I am making beef stew with lots of vegetables. It smells amazing, slow cooking for the last couple hours. We are having french bread with it. It's kinda of rainy/chilly here and stew sounded perfectly comforting and homey. I also made tacos for lunch because dd3 asked me to and caramel popcorn for a snack for later!

I thought everyone was home for dinner tonight so planned on shredded BBQ chicken with a chopped salad. Now that it is DH and I, we might go out for Thai or sushi and leave the chicken for tomorrow.

I never made baked spaghetti last night because the 7yo was here (he's been spending most nights with his dad since school got out and his dad's head is in a good [competent] place and he's going to day camp there) and anyway, he wanted another cheeseburger, so that's what I made. Until this week, that child has never wanted a cheeseburger. I don't know what happened. So in a few minutes, I am going to make that spaghetti casserole, because the remaining ground beef really needs to be cooked NOW, but I won't eat it tonight. I've been polishing off leftovers, er, pretty much all day long. Think I'm done now, skipping dinner, and moving directly on to ice cream. haha hop2, I'm sorry you had bad news today.

I had lunch out with my mom and the youngest boy at a place called Square 1 (have y'all heard of it? I don't know if it is a chain or not.) I had a chicken burger and french fries and ate way more of it than I usually do (I am practicing eating halves) and was still kind of full at dinner so I ate some cut up watermelon and cantaloupe. And a chocolate chocolate chip muffin. (What does does the cantaloupe say to the watermelon when he asks her to run away with him to get married? She says ... wait for it ... (corniest joke EVER) ... Oh Honey I Dew, but I can't elope. )

We went out with my sister and BIL to celebrate the guy's birthdays. I had mussels in a wine, garlic and lemon grass sauce followed by chicken "margarita" with broccoli rabe and linguini. And 3 mini cannoli for dessert. In spite of this being an Italian restaurant my non garlic eating husband ordered a steak and it was fantastic! I tasted one bite and wanted more, lol...but my food was really good.

I made really good vadalia onion burgers on the grill with onion rings, homegrown tomatoes, cukes, green onions and a huge bowl of watermelon. My husband said they were the best burgers he has had in years
