My wallet/billfold, whatever we are calling them now is fat and I'm kind of over it. It is also falling apart (no doubt from bursting at the seams for longer than I should have expected) so I have been shopping online for a new one. I haven't found anything that will hold everything I feel like I need to have with me all the time. So maybe the problem is me. Which leads me to the question . . . what's in your wallet?
I carry my license, car insurance, medical insurance cards (one for me, one for DD), two debit cards (one on each of our checking accounts), store credit cards (several of these - never know when I'm going to need to run to Target or anywhere else on the way home from the office), gift cards, cash (never more than $20 or so with me at any given time) and change, library cards (one for me, one for DD), checkbook, a few business cards, store rewards cards, loyalty cards . . . my current wallet has 10 spots for cards and I probably have more like 20 cards shoved in there.
If you don't carry all that in your wallet, do you leave it at home? Have a separate space in your purse/bag to stash it? Have a super wallet that I haven't discovered yet? I long to have everything neat and organized and this is making me a little crazy.

I don't really have a "wallet" per se; I have what amounts to a card case that holds my entire deck of various cards-- license, store loyalty cards, credit cards, etc. etc. etc. (seriously, I think I shuffle through something like 20 cards if I'm looking for one specific one.) When I shop, my receipts get wadded up and stuffed in there as well. And sometimes, I may actually have a couple bills of cash money folded up in there (I don't have cash all the time, since I spend cash on random stuff and tend to spend it all). And I either keep change in my pocket, or in a separate change purse that sinks to the bottom of my purse. eta: this is what I have (except mine is black leather); I've had it for at least 25 years. All my various cards are stuffed into it, along with any cash that I might have on me. eta2: I don't regularly carry our checkbook but if I do have it, it's just in my purse. Or I'll rip one check out of it, if I need to write a check to, say, my hairdresser.

My wallet is pretty small.
I don't carry any reward cards or loyalty cards. You don't need the actual card. The store can just look you up by phone number or email. I've never had one that you had to actually carry the card.
I don't carry my checkbook. I keep it at home for the two bills a month I still have to pay with a check. Why would I need to carry it with me?
The only store credit card I have is target. So all I carry is my check card and my target card.
My medical insurance card is good for every member of the family. We don't need separate ones.

I have a small wallet that forces me to keep my stuff pared down. I have my drivers license, my debit card, my credit card, a couple of random Starbucks gift cards, my health insurance card, and a few contact cards for emergencies. It's so small I have to fold my cash in an awkward way so now I rarely even carry cash, and forget about any coins.

I stopped carrying any loyalty cards they can look up by phone number. I still have a wallet that is too full. I am thinking about getting just a card holder separate from the wallet. I should take my checkbooks out since I don't write checks at stores (and rarely for bills these days), but I do use the registers to keep track of debits, so they stay in my purse. Those are separate from my wallet, though. I'm not sure what the answer is.

My wallet is filled with coupons that I forget to use.
Every now and then I go through and weed out the expired ones.
Then I put new ones in that I will forget to use.

I switched from a wallet to a small Zip ID case (Vera Bradley). It's just large enough to hold my debit card, license, and a small amount of cash. I got tired of having an overstuffed wallet-I find this is all I really need. It makes it easier, too, when I switch from a large purse to a smaller one.
I don't carry loyalty cards, the stores can either look up my phone # or scan from their app on my phone. I also don't carry medical cards, I just bring them with me when I have a doctor appt, otherwise they are kept in my desk at home.

I used to keep business cards but now I have an app that scans them in. I get tons of cards from political and media contacts; keeping physical cards in my wallet was just not possible. I have plenty of room in my wallet for what I carry now. Only thing that ever makes it too bulky is too much change. I try to dump the excess coins into our stash of change every now and then.

My "wallet" is my phone case and it contains my drivers license, 1 credit card, my auto club card, my auto insurance card, and a few of my own business cards.

What's in my wallet? Jonas Brothers ticket stubs from 2009 - just discovered them the other day when cleaning out the checkbook portion. Bizarre find - fun memories from my DD's fan craze days.

Think about whether you REALLY need to carry store loyalty cards. Everywhere I shop will look you up by phone number. That is faster than digging out the card! At one point, I put all my loyalty cards in an app, but I don't really use that either.
I got a smaller wallet this last go around, and I really like it. It is still checkbook width, but without a place for a checkbook. It has 12 card slots and 2 money pockets. I use the back pocket for cash, and then I just have debit/credit cards, Sams Club card, Insurance Cards (car/house and medical), license, and stamps. There is a giant pile of cards in my room that I took out of the last wallet, but I haven't found that I miss carrying them around.

I have a BookBook wallet, so my phone is in there, along with cash, my driver's license, my medical insurance card, a debit card, a personal credit card, and a business credit card. And my library card.

Ok thank you for your input ladies. It would appear that I need to seriously pare down. I have a separate little pouch for coupons that I carry in my purse - the store loyalty punch cards I will add to that pouch, the other store loyalty cards I will part with.
And I think I will put store credit cards in a file at home and will grab them as needed.
Thank you!

My phone case is my wallet now. My drivers license, debit card, credit card and BJ's card are in it. I keep all the small store cards on a ring in my purse. The big ones and store credit cards are in a business card case I keep in my purse. I would really like to get all store "rewards" cards onto my phone using some kind of App. My DD has an android with a really cool App for those store cards. I have an iPhone and haven't found anything like that. I really need to look into it more.

It is still checkbook width, but without a place for a checkbook. It has 12 card slots and 2 money pockets. That sounds like mine. I have my State ID card (like drivers lic.), health ins and rx cards and the HSA debit card, credit union debit card, blood donor card, discount card (sold by the school as a fundraiser), a booksamillion gift card, a Bluebird AMEX card (my WM savings catcher money goes on that), $1.34 in coins, and a pair of snowflake earrings

I don't have a traditional wallet. I use a wristlet that I either use alone or throw into a purse. I have my credit cards, cash, ID, lip gloss, car key fob, and a hair tie.

I don't have a lot in my wallet - cash, some change, appointment cards that I have to post to my calendar, health and dental insurance cards, my Target cards and the grocery store check writing card. I carry credit cards and loyalty cards and gift cards in a small business card folder like this - very easy to keep all organized and seen. Business card holder

I punched a hole in the corner of some of my store cards and hung them on a spare shower curtain hook(a thin metal one that closes all the way. An O ring clasp would work fine). You could have a ring for gift cards, too. If I need my checkbook, it goes into my purse, not in my wallet.

License, insurance card, aaa card, debit and 2 credit cards. Costco card too.I've never seen the need for a cc from places like JCP, Kohls, Target, etc. all stores take MC. Plus I'm not tempted by all the sales.

I have stopped carrying a full check book in my wallet because I don't use them that often anymore. I do keep one or two checks in there in case I need them but that's it. I also only carry one credit card and one debit card at any given time. Other than that I have 2 store loyalty cards, various insurance cards, CPR and First Aid certification cards. Sometimes a little bit of cash but usually not.

I only keep cash, my debit card and a few receipts in my main purse. I keep my other cards in a little accordion wallet.

I keep my drivers license, medical insurance card, debit card and library card. All store cards are either on my key ring or I just ask to look up my card by my phone number in the store. I may have a little cash and some change. My "wallet" is essentially a small leather change purse. I don't have any credit cards because honestly I don't believe in them..but if I did I could still fit a few in my wallet.

I carry my licensr, debit card, credit card and insurance.
Are you in the states? My friends rave about the All about the Benjamin wallet from 31 gifts. It is about $50, I think.
I have a wallet I buy at a local university. When it gets old, I replace it with ano5, they are like $12 or so.

I'm a minimalist. Cash, debit cards, medical insurance/rx cards, triple A card, library card, license, Sams Club membership.
I don't use credit cards, so I don't have those. I rarely EVER write a check, so I don't carry the checkbook with me. When I need a check I take one check out of the book. Car insurance card-that stays with the car in the glovebox. Store reward cards-I usually toss in the trash. They can look it up by my phone number. Receipts-Once the transaction has cleared my account I throw most receipts away. If it's for an item that might be returned, I move it to a small box for receipts that I keep at home. If there is any way for me to scan it into my phone or have them look up my info by phone number, I don't carry it with me.
