Ok, so I just went and added a few LO pics to the gallery so I could share them here. This one is with BG Color Me Silly: Buzz Light by Jenny, on Flickr This has 7Gypsies paper and a Hambly rub-on: The Bird Whisperer by Jenny, on Flickr This one has Sassafrass Lass Robotics: Diggerland by Jenny, on Flickr This mixes a touch of KI Memories (I think) with some VERY early Pink Paislee (Office Lingo, I think it was their first release): So Alike by Jenny, on Flickr and as I thought, I did use that Scrapworks Magpie paper: Escape to the Country by Jenny, on Flickr Just commented on these in the Gallery. Love your style: great with these tried and true products, but very transferable to whatever new lines come along. Gorgeous!

SO many companies gone... Arctic Frog Rusty Pickle Cactus Pink Heidi Grace Junkitz Foof-a-la Gin-X Cherry Arte Christina Cole Diane's Daughters Love. Elsie (KI Memories) 7 Gypsies Bam Pop! I loved Scrapworks, their paper had a neat texture sort of like Chatterbox, almost wallpaperish. And they had some fabulous rubber alphabets. They also had one of the few purple collections I really liked. I used to occupationally do design work for Urban Lily and I was so sad when they closed up shop. SavePretty sure I still have every Love, Elsie paper and embellishment in duplicate. I was OBSESSED. I used the some of the outdoor camping line just this week. Ooh thank you!! Bam pop was something I loved but never bought and I couldn't remember the name! I just remember they had this cute robot paper!

I'm actually still looking for some of the alpha sticker sheets from Sassafrass. I thought I had found some, but they never showed up.

So many memories from this post! I never did love the chatterbox papers as much as others...the weight of the papers was so flimsy and the pink that they used never matched anything except theory cardstock...like a brown pink.
I loved the BG gypsy line so yummy! I used the heck out of that one!
I didn't really get into the Sassafras papers till too late but loved the Cosmo Cricket of old.

Oh the memories. LOL!
Loved Scenic Route and still have a little in my stash as well as some Sassafrass. Boxer was my favorite BG. Great for masculine layouts.
I was always so excited to hit my LSS and discover something new.

I miss so many of these already listed. And it's so interesting to see the diversity of styles which feels likes it's lacking in so many companies today. Trying to remember Cactus Pink. It sounds familiar but I can't place it at all. I couldn't see any in a quick google search but it was kind of retro looking. I've used some in these layouts. The aqua-blue and brown print in this one:

I don't think I've seen anyone mention Making Memories yet. I used to love their Halloween lines.

So this is why I have not been purging or using my stash but rather buying new paper. I can't bear to part with my old favorites cuz when their gone their GONE. (sigh) I really do hope the existing companies will read these type of threads and really think about what we are asking for. If the fashion industry can do it so can the scrapbooking industry. They can just call it RETRO lines or something.

KI Memories were my absolute favourite, the bright colours, simple graphic designs and those lace papers, swoon. The Wild things line is still my holy grail line.
Love Elsie Roxy and Betty were also another two lines that I could not get enough of and still have a few bits and pieces of it in my stash.
Hambly, loved the transparencies in fact I just bought a few sheets last week from an Australian website to use in my wedding album. Those rub ons though terrible I bought one pack and they were dried out already, very disappointing.
Bam Pop!, Sassafras Lass, Heidi Grace and Urban Lilly were also pretty special.

If you're a Hambly fan and you're near Phoenix, Melrose Vintage still has some for sale. I was browsing this spring and they have a sizable stock of older paper.

I don't think I've seen anyone mention Making Memories yet. I used to love their Halloween lines. I remember they had that super awesome gothic Halloween line, very Haunted Mansion. They also had a boy and girl line circa 2010 that was delightful. Good patterns and fantastic color combos. I also miss the variety of American Crafts papers, they used to have such lovely graphic collections. Remember their Teen line, Moda Bella, and Amplified? I still use all three. Amplified had this fantastic purple with white waves on it, maybe my favorite paper of all time.

I still have quite a bit of Hambly and lots of Scenic Route! I loved, and still love, Basic Grey Blush. It's probably my number one favourite collection, the colours, oh the colours! I just went to use one of these today!!!! Too lazy to drag the sewing machine out and the black zig-zag was at the end.... I was distraught! Someone needs to bring back rub-on stitching for lazy people like me Oh yes, BG Blush was one of my favorites, too. I am sure I bought the whole collection...twice. And I just used the last of my Heidi Swapp acetate shapes.

I'm actually still looking for some of the alpha sticker sheets from Sassafrass. I thought I had found some, but they never showed up. I love the alpha stickers from Rusty Pickle. I'd buy them again if I could! Wasn't Sassafrass Lass the line with tear off strips on the 12x12 paper? They had scalloped borders, I think. I loved those.

Scenic Route! Oh how I loved their stuff! I also loved Karen Foster and Creative Imaginations - the theme scrapper's dream companies. I also loved the themes of Reminisce although I wasn't crazy about their style. I just used a bunch of Reminisce yesterday.
I loved the earliest Simple Stories. It was so different! I think I used all of that first school line. And the early Little Yellow Bicycle. Loved it.

I miss Martha Stewart paper at Michaels. There was some great winter/holiday paper that I still have. I also liked the Valentine paper. That is one holiday that to my knowledge October Afternoon never did (Valentine).

I think there was another company called Girl's Paperie or something? I think I have one sheet of it left, but they had some beautiful papers that I used to scrap my daughter's baby pictures. I wonder what ever happened to them.

I found a few others:
David Walker letter stickers...I remember thinking these were the bomb and some controversy because someone made a font out of his stickers/writing.
Provo Craft Alphabitties...I had to have these in all the colors and fonts.
Here is some of my old Chatterbox Walls collection...

Rusty Pickle!
But while I had/have all of these other manufacterers' papers and more, I was a Basic Grey girl the way I'm an Indiana University basketball fan, a Republican, and a Reebock girl. It was an identity for me, something that gave me great pleasure.
My biggest dream would be to come across a craft yard sale where someone didn't know what their great-aunt left behind and it's all Basic Grey. LOL
