Is it about the size of a sesame seed? Then I think yes.

They can be bigger than a sesame seed if they are full grown and full. Is there just the one? Do you see any black specks on the sheets, in the cracks of the mattress, head board etc? Have you noticed any bites? Usually in groups of 3.

Hard to tell from the picture but I am leaning towards no. The bug in the picture looks more elongated than any of the ones I have seen but it could just be the photo.

Hotel management says termite. I woke up covered in bites on my arms and face.

I'd guess bed bug, then, if you've got bites. Yikes.

Make sure they compensate you some how. What a mess if it is!

Uggh. So sorry. If you have bites, I would pull up the sheets and see if there is any other evidence. Google bed bug bites to see if the pattern matches the ones you have. And if you have a plastic baggie, try and capture one.
ETA: At least it's in a hotel and not in your house. All that needs heat cleaning is what you have with you. But still a hassle.

Oh yuck. I am always a little worried when we travel about this. Good luck. I hope you get an answer and some compensation from the hotel.

I can't see your picture well enough to tell.
But you can tell a termite from a bed bug because termites have bigger heads. They look totally different.

Patterns do match. Can't find any other evidence, so far. Housekeeping tossed the bed this morning looking. Maintenance guy came back just a little bit ago and we found a chinch bug. My weekend was comped.

I was all ready to say termite until you said you had been bitten. That is something that always scared me about traveling. I don't think I have ever gone to bed in a hotel without checking for bed bugs. They freak me out. Mainly it was the fear of bringing them home with me, but the idea of them crawling on me and biting me while I slept wasn't so hot either. I'm glad they comp'd your stay, but I think you deserve a bit more than that for being bitten so much. Although, all they could probably offer is a future stay for free, and I doubt you want to stay there again.

Next time, put one inight a plastic bag and take it to get identified.
Bed bugs are one of my nightmares. They freak me out.

No clue but maybe this will help see if it's a problem where you are staying: Bed Bug Registry

It's really hard to tell by the picture, but bed bugs can definitely be bigger then a sesame seed. We had a patient this yr that came in with them, so I got to see them 1st hand. I always thought they were suppose to be really fast too, but here he was, crawling across the floor. I'm doubting termites? why would termites be in your bed? they are trying to cover themselves. gad, what a crappy weekend!!

Hotel management says termite. I woke up covered in bites on my arms and face. Hotels will LIE, LIE, LIE before they ever admit they have bed bugs. I found them at a La Quinta last summer, and they completely denied it. When I asked why there was an exterminator truck in the parking lot, they said it was a hotel guest. Yeah...right. I found the evidence 5 minutes after checking in. When I told them I would not be staying, they informed me that they had already placed a hold on my credit card for the entire amount of my week-long stay and that it could not be taken off for several days. They were SO rude.

My weekend was comped. Either way i'd be careful going home....someone can probably give you advice, but you certainly don't want to bring any home with you. I'd rather be overly cautious than deal with them at home.

Termites do not bite people.
Bed bugs can be bigger than a sesame seed and appear elongated if well fed ( and if your covered in bites it's well fed )
Do not bring anything into your house or even your car until it's been thru a very hot dryer. All clothes, shoes, luggage, hand bags, BOOKS! They hide everywhere, what you can't put thru a dryer bag in zip locks for a few weeks or throw it out.
Good luck to you! I feel bad your all bitten up.
