They found the creep that took her, but he will not speak to anyone. I say torture him, and I'm not kidding!

I hope she is found safely.
We recently had a local woman in her 30's go missing. She had a young child and a teenager. She left for work one day like any regular day. She didn't show up for work and everyone that knew her said it wasn't like her to just take off. Several weeks later, after law enforcement and locals in the community had canvased the woods and entire area in search of her, she was pulled over driving her truck on an interstate several states away. She said she was fine and did not want to return home. I guess she just wanted to start over. It was a shock for our community.

Quite honestly I would understand a 30 yo running away far more than a 20 yo. There are days I want to run away from life and responsibilities, 20 yos have far less responsibilities and she sounds like she had a pretty good life. Though I'd love for that to be the case, just to know she's safe. Sounds like this guy is quite the creep. I hope he talks soon, maybe once he's gets his public defender (not that I think he deserves a penny of tax dollars going to towards helping him) he'll be willing to make a deal. Ftr, Ohio is a death penalty state (if she's dead, hoping she's not).

If she wanted to walk away, fine, but have the decency to at least make arrangements for your minor children. There were countless hours of police work wasted, flyers were printed and posted all over several counties (that took hundreds of dollars plus the time for someone to make them), people shared thousands of times on Facebook, hoping and praying for answers, countless volunteers spent hours trapsing all over fields and woods and rural roads and ditches searching on foot for her, people worrying about her, praying for her, her family and children wondering where their mother is. That is reprehensible to me. There is nothing that she could have been going through to make any of that ok. Wanting to leave, I can't say I know what that is like, but I can relate to feeling stress and anxiety and can understand how someone might reach that point. But say that. You just don't leave people wondering if you've been abducted. You just don't get to do that and it is fine & dandy with everyone.

There is a lot of speculation that this victim may be the tip of the iceberg for this guy. He was already charged in an abduction in 1990 where he knocked a woman off of her bike (same M.O. as here possibly) assaulted her and threatened to kill her. She escaped and he was arrested. There will also be a presser at 11 tonight on 'new developments' in the case of Chelsea Bruck. Of course speculation is that once this creep's DNA got entered into the database, hits may have matched up with other victims.
We do know they were digging at his barn this afternoon with excavators. It seems he was a trucker, so who knows where all he has been. This is so frightening.
UPDATE: There has been an arrest in Chelsea Bruck's murder case, though it is not the same person arrested for abducting Sierah. Where are you Sierah???

Totally a crappy thing to do and frankly I think she should have to payback the costs associated with her disappearance (I feel the same about the "missing" bride several years back) I can just understand it a tiny bit more from a stressed, overwhelmed 30yo than a carefree, happy, 20yo.

Ugh, horrible. Reminds me of Nicholas Francisco of Seattle. Just up and walked away on his pregnant wife and small daughter. A truly despicable human, when they found him he was so nonchalant, not caring one bit about those he left behind. abcnews.go.com/Primetime/nicholas-francisco-family-man-disappears-revealed-leading-double/story?id=11145043

Sadly, they found her remains at around 6 p.m. yesterday. They have to match dental, fingerprints, etc. but they are quite certain it is Sierah. What has this world come to, when a girl can't even ride a bicycle two miles alone down a cornfield-filled country road without being in danger of getting snatched and murdered? I will never ever understand the evil in the hearts of humankind. Never.

So heartbreaking! I am devastated for her family and friends. I came across her case last night as I was reading about Chelsea's case.
I can't believe this POS kidnapped someone before and only served 3 years.

This sorry excuse for a human being was a PROVEN danger to women, and they gave him a slap on the wrist.

That's so sad. I followed on WS too and was holding out hope, but all of the delays in reporting didn't seem positive. I hope they get him connected to other missing persons so there's closure for the families. I can't imagine!

You never know who the peas know/see, so I figure I'll post this here on the off-chance someone sees something. This happened about 10 miles outside my town. Some of her family (aunt/uncle/cousins) live here. It seems so odd for a 20yo woman to just disappear. IMO a stranger abduction is unlikely. A friend told me she heard that the bike was found in the cornfield standing up on it's kickstand, which seems strange if there was a struggle. Did she just run away? Or was the boyfriend involved? Either way, I hope she's found soon www.people.com/article/missing-hio-woman-last-seen-tuesday-riding-bikeUPDATE a body has been found, pending ID. I'm just sick Please keep us updated. I hate being given a mystery but never a solution.

You can always follow the Websleuths thread about this case that I listed upthread. It will be active throughout the trial and verdict at least.

They now have a suspect in custody but only after he attempted to abduct another girl and she escaped. He's also being charged with a murder of a jogger as well. He has a sick history of violence against women. He had a police history too but he was still free.

Dh says they should let the sick piece of shit out of jail and let the public take care of him. I suggested that with it being a rural area there are probably plenty of shotguns. Do reminded me that no guns would be necessary.

Sometimes it's swift, sometimes not, sometimes it never comes, sadly.

Someone mentioned he was a truck driver. A year or so ago a woman riding her bicycle in southeast Arkansas disappeared. I think it was around Stuttgart. I wonder if this man was in the area at that time. When I was a teenager in SE Arkansas, I would ride my bike 10-15 miles through rural areas alone. I wouldn't even think about doing that now!

I've thought that about GPS chips, but they'd have to be put where no one could remove them from you. I can't imagine that feeling of someone missing! I don't know how they could get around someone cutting it out. I just can't stand that in this day of technology, we can't solve something like this. It would be helpful in other areas of monitoring like criminals, but that would be against their rights, I'm sure, and the would just cut it out anyway. Unless they can make one that is small enough to be injected into a spot that could not be removed easily. I don't know, I'm not a scientist. I'm just a sympathetic mother who is sick and tired of reading about all these missing people. It would be a life saver given sex traffickers, children taken by spouses during a visitation, even hikers or skiers going missing in rough terrain. So much pain could be stopped. I lived in fear of this when my son was little and my ex used to torture me about taking him and me never seeing him again. He was under a year old at that time and I know it was just a tactic to upset me, and it sure worked. Maybe if it was presented as a comparison to how much money is spent when trying to find someone. I don't know. I just want something to happen to stop this. SaveSaveI agree. I can't imagine having an ex do that! How horrible to live through that threat!
