I just saw Elton John at an open air, black tie concert by the river and it was amazing I have seen him in concert 6 or 7 times before but this was just brilliant!

Our local area has free concerts in our parks during the summer. Almost every night you can either hear bands, primarily local, or see a play. It's awesome. The best part is nobody stands up and blocks anyone else's view. Those are the concerts I like to attend.

Already had planned a trip to NYC in September and we then got to add ELO concert to our trip. Two of my lifelong friends (one lives in NYC) and my sister are going. We are going back to the 70's!!! Can't wait.

Seeing my favorite band in August -- the Avett Brothers. They are closing out a 10-day music festival near us. We look forward to this festival all year and used to plan our summer vacation around it (when we had fewer kids).

We're going to see Chris Isaak at the local Botanical Gardens in 2 weeks. I'm excited as it's been several years since I've seen him! He and his band always put on a really great show. And it's not this summer, but I did just buy tickets to see my favorite band, Tears For Fears, perform at Red Rocks in October. Eeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiii!

Yes, finaledition I have a short video of pat beatboxing with Matt. I was front row at the stage that night in Seattle. I wont be sailing this year, Ive recently separated from my husband and need to get my financial house in order. And when Train did their small venue Led Zeppelin tour I was also front to in Seattle for that, and had Pat sign the set list for me. Annette

We saw Billy Joel in Philly two weeks ago and it was one of the best concerts I have been to. He played for 2 1/2 hours...straight through.

We just saw Jesse Dayton on Friday night. We're going to see Billy Bob Thornton and his band in a few weeks. Old 97s in September. Two Door Cinema Club in October. Echo and the Bunnymen in October. And what I'm excited the most about - we just bought tix to see Dolly Parton in December!!! I know most of those aren't technically summer, but we have summer weather well into December ETA: I forgot we also have tickets to a music festival in September. It's a total dude fest, but I think it will be fun. Deftones, The Cult, Chevelle, Alice in Chains and also Ministry which my 80s self is super-excited about!

DH and I go to a LOT of concerts, we say that's where all our disposable income goes..lol.....we just saw Shinedown and Black Stone Cherry in May and it rocked!! I've been waiting a few years for Shinedown, we missed them the only other time they were in town and we had already seen BSC, a recent favorite rock band we've been listening to for just a few years and they didn't disappoint either.
In a couple of weeks at the Iowa State Fair, we plan on seeing Billy Bob Thornton & The Boxmasters on one of the free stages.
We also have tickets for Govt. Mule in late August, but I sure hope it cools down a bit, because it's at an outside venue. This will be our 3rd time seeing them, but we are both BIG Warren Haynes fans.
This isn't concerts, but starting in October, we have season tickets to our local Performing Arts Center and will be seeing some amazing Broadway musicals and plays in the six month season.

We saw Old Crow Medicine Show and Maggie Price a couple of weeks ago. In August we're going to see Ryan Bingham and Shakey Graves. In September we've got tickets to see Robert Earl Keen and then we're thinking about tickets to see Old '97s for like the 10th? time.
I love living right by a small convert venue.

Plus, we usually have to drive at least 2 hours to see concerts. The boys are going too and they are super excited Sept 3rd we have to tickets to the Dovefest! Mercy Me, Crowder, Jeremy Camp and Kutless. Can't wait!! Just Dh and I are going to this one. The boys will stay with their Grandparents. Mercy Me is one of my faves..they put on a great show! I have tickets to the Mixtape fest next month..New Kids on the Block, Paula Abdul, Boyz II Men and a few others. I'm also seeing Simple Plan in October.

This has been a great year for concerts here. So far we've seen: The Floozies The Buzzcocks (Australian punk band from way back) Macklemore with my niece The Cure
We have tickets to Willie Nelson this weekend, and Michael Franti next month.
We had tickets for Janet Jackson, but after she rescheduled once then put the concert on hold, we got refunds.
