I love concerts and I hit my fair share in the summer. So tell me where you're going or been this summer. Started my summer with The Dixie Chicks. Ok, can someone tell me when they got hip again? Lol. The venue we were at was packed and filled with 20 somethings singing all the songs. I loved it, they were great! Then this week I saw A Great Big World, Phillip Phillips and Matt Nathanson twice. I actually was primarily there for Matt Nathanson. I'm telling you, nobody leaves his concert not loving him more. He puts on an amazing performance and interacts with his audience better than anybody else. I highly recommend seeing him one time-he will not disappoint. Still have Train next month and Andy Grammar/Gavin DeGraw in Sept. So share yours.

I'll be seeing Daughtry in September. That will be my second time for him.

Took DD to see 5Seconds of Summer (actually moms had a walk around and that sat on the waterfront and listened) then DD And I went to see Duran Duran (have said it before I had waited 30+ years to see them!!). I told DD the only reason she has been seeing her fav bands since age 11 was because I never got to see mine. She is pretty happy her mama was "mean"

At one time in my life I was a concert junkie. I've seen so many awesome bands and some of my favorites many times. I haven't been to a concert in a few years because of my headaches, but this summer I am biting the bullet and going to my very favorite group, Counting Crows, who I've seen 5 times already. Rob Thomas is playing with them, and I saw him many times with MB20, but never solo. Should be good. Oh, 4th row. I'm a seat snob. If I can't get good seats I would rather not even go. There's an art to scoring great tix, and I've been very lucky with tons of front row center seats over my 'concert career.'

I've only seen Lady Antebellum this year. We'll see Jimmy Baggett, but not until October

I love going to concerts, too. We've been to The Zac Brown Band and Emmylou Harris/Lyle Lovett. Both were lots of fun at beautiful venues. ZBB rocked, and I would go see them again any time! Emmylou still has it, and her "Boulder to Birmingham" encore moved me to tears. Lyle Lovett was not so much to my taste, but his band is great. (Photos removed)
There are a lot of really good shows still to come this summer. We haven't made any more plans for concerts, but Bonnie Raitt is high on my list of possibilities. We are going to see Caberet in a couple of weeks.

Matt NAthanson is awesome and I am not sure with all the shows I go to that I have never seen him live. Must put him on my list.
I am more country based and saw Chris Young, Thomas Rhett and Darius Rucker. What a great start to summer. Tomorrow night I see Keith Urban, who is absolutely incredible live and I am so EXCITED. Our seats are 3 rows from the front, only thing better would have been pit but I didn't know how much the pit was when I ordered my tickets. Next time. Next week my DD and I are goign to Cheyenne Frontier Days to see Kenny Chesney (saw him in Vegas in April this year), Jake Owen and Old Dominion, which will be the third time since January. In September we see Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley and will be driving to New Mexico to see Florida Georgia Line, Kane Brown, Cole Swindell and someone else, The Cadillac Three. I sent my kids to see Adele this past Saturday night and Iknow Blink 182 tickets are already bought. My dd is the biggest Andy Grammer fan and hasn't bught her tickets yet but I know she will be. She likes ot do the meet and greets with him and this time around Andy's are quite pricey.
@happymomma - I am a seat snob too. I need ot be up front, right in the thick of things or I am not bothering. We are 5th row center at Red Rocks for Dierks, we were 6 rows dead center for Darius (heart is still happy) and I was three people from stage in the pit for Chris Young. I used to work concerts back in the day and stopped once I had kids. I thought my concery days were done until 4 years ago and now they are my thing. My daughter loves going with me and is my only concert buddy usually. I hope you have a blast at Counting Crows!!!

OP, I am so jealous! I love Matt Nathanson! He didn't have any tour dates near Dallas this tour. I saw him this past October during his acoustic tour. I've probably seen him 15 times through the years. No, I'm not a stalker.
I haven't been to any concerts this summer. I saw Kelly Clarkson and Ed Sheeran last summer. Both concerts were outdoors in July/August Texas heat. They were both worth it, but dang it was hot.

We have tickets to see Jordan Feliz at our local fair on Aug 4th. It's usually country artists so I'm so glad they choose a Christian artist this year!!! Plus, we usually have to drive at least 2 hours to see concerts. The boys are going too and they are super excited Sept 3rd we have to tickets to the Dovefest! Mercy Me, Crowder, Jeremy Camp and Kutless. Can't wait!! Just Dh and I are going to this one. The boys will stay with their Grandparents.

So far this year I've only been to Brad Paisley and Dustin Lynch.
Next Thursday I head out in the RV for the Oregon Jamboree. It's a three day county concert in Sweethome Oregon. This year we have Carrie Underwood, Toby Keith, Randy Houser, Neil McCoy and Old Dominican.I think this is my 11th year!

The girl and I just saw Weird Al in concert It was fabulous!! Although seeing him live made me feel a bit old lol, but he had all ages on their feet, dancing and singing along. Some even in costume It was amazing. We are gearing up to see Brad Paisley as well. He never disappoints in concert.

I saw them at a venue with a number of lawn seats and I think the cheaper seats also attract a younger crowd.

DH was given free tickets to see Tony Bennett when he came through town. It was a fun show.
We don't go to a lot of concerts, although DH would love to. He loves music. I should have good seats to a regional band, Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band. DH is probably producing the concert. He's still in talks with the manager and he's trying to find sponsors, but things look good.

They were all young and my daughter would have fit in perfectly but she would never LOL. I have spoiled her. When we were at Darius 2 weeks ago, she was by far the youngest down low in the front. It was mostly mature, I would say 50 and above in the pricier seats AND my 20yo. I know we will see the same thing at the Keith Urban show too.

finaledition I should have known you'd be a Matt fan, with your appreciation of Train and all. I saw Matt in June at Mandalay Bay in Vegas, and saw him on his small venue tour in Seattle. I just saw Adele last night in Vancouver and will see Train in Sept at the Washington State Fair. It's a light concert year for me. Annette

It's a throwback to the 80s summer for me!
I'm going to BNL, OMD, and Howard Jones tomorrow night!
Journey and Huey Lewis (two different shows) in August!
So many great shows coming to Vegas this summer. What sucks is that the prices are typically jacked up much higher than in other parts of the country, and I can't afford to see them all. Fortunately, there's a never-ending supply of shows. I know many cities don't have such a great selection from which to choose. Having so many options makes me happy!!

Matt is going this year and my partner in crime is dying to go, but the timing doesn't work for me. So your were at the concert that Pat made the guest appearance? And for those of you going to Adele. I'm so jealous, I'm sure it will be amazing. I joked with a friend who is going that having a ticket to Adele is like a Willy Wonka Ticket. You lucky ladies. pudgygroundhog re Dixie Chicks. I think Goodbye Earl may be one of the best concert songs ever. It's so much fun listening to it at a concert.

I got into country about 18 months ago and it's now it's all I listen to. I had tickets to see the Zac Brown Band last fall but couldn't go. Now I have tickets to see Luke Bryan in September. He is playing with Florida Georgia Line. I cannot wait. I start tearing up when I think about it. I've never been to a concert really. I think my 19 yo DD is going with me. DH does not like anything related to country music.
I love Luke Bryan. He seems so down to earth despite having it pretty rough. He is one of 3 kids but both of his siblings have already passed from separate incidences (from what I understand). He is just adorable though as is his wife/son.
The only thing better than seeing him here in San Diego is seeing him in Wrigley Field next month. I had thought about taking a trip out to Chicago but I doubt it will happen at this point. San Diego will do just fine though.

Was in Vegas a couple of weeks ago with my husband for the Cisco Live conference. We got there a couple days early and I got to see Chicago in concert; I've loved them since the '80s. The main reason I went to Vegas was for Cisco's Customer Appreciation Event. Elle King was the opening act for Maroon 5! It was awesome seeing them live, had a blast!
