Just got a call expecting after the two day wait for them to redo my order this time without dirty "museum" glass for me to pick it up. No...sadly, the woman broke the frame and needs to start all over again with the order...I said...is my poster harmed...no. At this point, Im expecting a disaster.

I'd go get the poster and find a different frame place.. the person they have doing it is not competent.

I would cancel the order and pick up the poster. We have ordered custom frames through pictureframes.com after getting some astronomical quotes from Michael's and Aaron Bros. You will have to insert the poster yourself, but that is pretty straight forward. IIRC, they offer a 15 or 20% discount code when you sign up.

Yes, I'd go get the poster and take it to a conservation framing place. Even if it costs more it would be worth it for the peace of mind.

I also recommend getting your poster and taking it to a professional framing place. And before they damage it, if it hasn't been damaged already.
I have a girlfriend that worked at a framing store for years. She would tell me of some of the disasters that came in the door that people wanted to have fixed. She felt so bad for them because they ended up paying the framing store price, plus the cheap store price for wherever they took it in the first place, and usually the item to be framed had damage of some sort.
She said the shop owner would usually give them a small discount since they already paid someplace else, like Joannes. She figured once they got their item back from her, done correctly, that they would spread the word to friends about where they should be going the first time. It was advertising for them to make sure that person was extra happy after being so upset with another facility.
They also framed things like clothing. I remember one story about a baby's outfit that belonged to this woman's mother. She was having it framed to put along side the framed baby outfit of her own and her child's. She wanted them all to be in the same frame. Unfortunately, the little dress was ripped at Joanne's and they had to do some finessing and folding of the fabric to hide it. My friend said it looked fine at the end, a little pucker here and there, but the woman would always know that Joannes ripped her mother's baby dress.
