I really like my neighbors, but my peaceful Saturday morning coffee has been destroyed by the drone of the fan keeping a bouncy house inflated. I've had to retreat inside and can still hear it .

The drone of the fan will soon be replaced with screaming and shouting and probably someone crying (my neighbors occasionally set one up)
Fortunately, those noises don't bother me much. Really the only thing I can't handle is a yapping little dog. I used to work 3rd shift and tuning out daytime noises is pretty easy for me!

Funny thing is I hardly noticed the noise of the kids playing in it last night. It is the steady drone of the fan that is driving my crazy in the morning quiet. Kind of like a leaf blower going on for an hour & a half so far . SaveSave

I totally get this. It's like when the lawns around the ten detached condos behind us are being mowed. The guy has a loud commercial mower and the whining noise of that sometimes drives me nuts. It goes on for a long time because it's not just one yard being moved, it's like ten plus the big open stretches of grass. It was the worst when it started one morning about 7:30, on a beautiful day when we had the windows open all night and day. It's also no fun sitting out on our screen porch when the mowing is happening.

My neighbors set up a bouncy house every single weekend last summer. The noise from the fan and all the kids was terrible. Luckily it was pretty easy to drown out with my air conditioner going and the radio. This year they had a few weekends with the bouncy house but it's mostly just sat totally deflated in the back yard. Hopefully they are over it.

I hear you! We have an awesome sunroom, and I like to serve supper out there, with all the windows open. You can hear the birds, etc, just what we wanted. Except for the three (3!) times a week our next door neighbor cuts his grass, trims with a gas powered trimmer, blows the driveway, and sidewalk and patio and then hoses all the concrete down, from about 4:30 pm until 7 pm, THREE times a week. My hubby told me I was nuts , that it was not that often. Well, last week, hubby told me I was right. Now the noise is bothering him too, lol.
Did I mention that he does this three times a week?
