Has anyone use just a large white sheet or white fabric to play outdoor movies on? I have a screen but its so little and don't know if it's large enough for the group were having. It's a last minute thing and don't have time to make or order a fancy screen. Any other suggestions?

Seems to me that would work just fine. You could also get large pieces of poster board and tape them together with white tape. Not perfect, but it will probably be ok if the movie projection is crisp and bright.

DD's gang home from college for the summer have been doing this. They been hanging out on our patio with a fire in the old Ben Franklin fireplace and a sheet on the wall to play movies and games. They say it works fine. I haven't really paid much attention.

I would think it worked fine. I can remember "back in the day" when someone in the family would go on a trip, they'd get the photos back as slides. It was always a big family event where all the relatives would get together, have dinner and then view the slide show. A white sheet was almost always used.

I was at a friends and I'm pretty sure they tacked a sheet between two trees. Worked great.

I used a large white table cloth (which is a little thicker than a sheet), but worked just fine!

We did this at our last home. I sewed a casing at the bottom of the sheet to run a long piece of PVC pipe through to keep the sheet hanging smooth and straight, then hung it with plastic clamps in the opening of our garage. It worked great .

Our neighbor uses their garage door! No sheet....just the door!

We've used the side of the shed. A white sheet works well to, make sure it's not to thin or get a thicker piece of white fabric . Make sure to secure the bottom of fabric, so the wind doesn't whip up the fabric. We use ours all Fall & Spring.
