I just woke up from a two hour nap in my nice air conditioned house thinking it was Sunday morning. Was out in the a.m. getting my first ever pedicure and buying new sandals to show off my tootsies. What a stressful day.

We drove inland to run some errands and it was 105. Gaaaah , so wrong. Got home and it was 85 here. What a difference.

I get almost nothing done in this heat. I'm having a hard time adjusting because we just got home from a week in Maryland where it was wonderfully cool and dry. Coming back to the insane heat and humidity here is unhappy-making. 110 degrees with the heat index today. Come Monday I'll have to snap back into gear, regardless of the weather.

I just feel unmotivated in this extended heat.

Hating it here too. My dogs are miserable being cooped up in the house.

Yeah it's hot here. We probably wouldn't have done much outside anyways but I'm blaming it on the heat!

No, I kind of love it (as long as there is AC when I'm trying to sleep!).
I walked almost 4 miles today in 98 degree sunny heat, so I could find more Pokemon. Lolol

These squirrels were comatose on my deck during dinner. They lay there the whole time, driving my dog nuts.

I wasn't chasing Pokemon today, but I did opt to work in my herb garden, pick up limbs in the yard, and sweep all the steps/patios/decks at the house today.

Ridiculous heat here in Georgia, but it was so cold in Walmart that it actually felt good to go outside... for about 3 minutes.
My son is deployed to Kuwait, where it was possibly one of the hottest places on Earth today, something like 125 degrees. He got second degree burns on his handswhen he rode his bicycle on base.

Yeah, I don't do summer in Texas. There are very few things I will go outside for, other than to climb in my car. My body just can not handle the heat.

HATE IT with every passion of my being. I think I've been outside a total of four times in the last 7 or 8 days and that's counting when I have to go outside and water my gardens. Thank goodness I have plenty of indoor activities to do. I hibernate worse in this weather than I do in the dead of winter.

I puttered around the yard a bit this afternoon, weeding and watering the flower pots and window boxes. The humidity is what wipes me out and makes me cranky. My husband loves the heat and humidity. I love central air conditioning! Lol!

I know it's cliche, but so far, the really hot days haven't been that humid, which is miraculous around here, and it's actually allowing me to enjoy these days despite being in the 90s, which normally is way too warm for me.

I went into work today for the first time since early June and because it was Saturday, the A/C was off in the office. For the first hour I was pretty gross because I was moving stuff around, putting it back together after maintenance had torn it all apart. (I work in a school). Then I turned on a fan and was mostly just working at my desk, so I didn't think it was too bad. But I think it took more out of me than I thought, because I left early and was dragging for the rest of the day. Took a nap, too.
I don't know how those of you in the deep south survive the summers.
I don't know how ANYONE survived before A/C!!!!

I think my biggest issue is that I'm not at all hungry during the hot daytime hours, and then, because I ate too little all day, after dark I'm ready to eat the whole kitchen.

I hate the heat so much! I used to love it about 2 years ago...I think "the change" might be starting as anything over 95 and I think I'm going to die.

So, DH put out water and sunflower seeds on the deck because it was in the upper 90s, and he got this picture this afternoon:

I took a route home from the grocery store that takes me past several Pokestops so I could stock up on Pokeballs, and found one that had a lure on it. It's at a neighborhood playground but because of the heat no one was there, so I was able to pull up right smack in front of the stop. I sat in my lovely air conditioned car and caught a few Pokemon. hahaha

Those squirrel pics are hilarious! I won't brag about the perfect weather were having here (77 and a nice little breeze). Oops, that may have been a brag.

I can't deal with the heat, either. I just want to crawl under the covers in my cool bedroom and not come out until Thanksgiving.

I'm not good with heat. Our temps are going to be above 105 for the next six days. My only goal is not to fuse to my couch.
