Just a couple days after my 30th birthday. It was the PERFECT age for me. I was able to enjoy a fun single life and now 22 years of marriage.

I got married the day after my 23rd birthday. DH is about 6 months older than me. We have been married for 28 years this year. I went away to college at 17, and paid for it all myself. I only ever lived at home after that for a few weeks here and there on break. So, while 23 was young, I was already effectively on my own for 6 years.
My youngest turned 23 a few weeks ago and it is funny to think that our kids are both older than we were when we got married.

The first time I was 21 and him 25. We got pregnant right away on purpose. We lasted for 3 kids and 9 years which isn't too bad for lukewarm love. By the time we realized we didn't love each other, it was too late.
He remarried right away whereas it took me close two years and not because I was scared to get married, it was because I couldn't find anyone and I was definitely trying (too hard) because I had this sick notion that I wasn't worth anything as a single mother. My 2nd marriage was a mistake from day 1. It took me 4 years to get him out of my life.
My fiancé and I will be 39, planning a wedding in October. We've been together for 3 years and have had a lot of falls and bumps in the road, we've called the wedding off and reinstated it. What's really sad is I actually love him. In a way I've never loved anyone. But I'm not afraid to push the wedding back because I know from experience how devastating divorce is, how marriage doesn't fix problems, and in our case I have nothing to gain by being married (I insisted he get a prenup and put someone else as his main beneficiary in his will, just to prove to his family that I'm not here for money).
So yeah. I'm older. I'm wiser. It still feels like I'm 20 year old kid.

33. If I could do it all over again I wish we had gotten married sooner, we had been together 5 years at that point, so that we could have had the kids earlier. Dh suffers from back pain and I have just about every ailment that an older mother has. I swear today I started to get arthritis in my hands, I'm not yet 40, but my joints hurt and my fingers are clumsy when I sew, which wasn't the case pre children. I think we'd be better off if our kids were even 3 years older than now, 18 months and 4 years. Part of that has to be because I grow some huge, 99th and 100th percentile babies. Heavy babies and feeling old do not mix.

I was 17 years 5 months and married in 1972. So we have been married 43 years.
We have had our ups and downs but have grown both individually and as a couple over the time. We are bestfriends.
We have DS who will be 38 in December and DD who was 32 this month and three beautiful grandchildren.

59, never very interested in marriage, never wanted to be married. Don't know why I dislike the institution so much as my parents had what appeared to be a good marriage and they seemed happy.
We had been together for 26 years and married due to retirement funds/pensions. Very romantic but that is just the way we roll.
