Hello, BBbffs! I figured we'd get a new thread going before the show airs tonight in hopes that tonight's power shift will be worth discussing. As always, all spoilers are welcome at all times, whether taken from the feeds, recap sites, twitter, wherever. Additional random chat is also encouraged. LINK to previous threadPOWER STATUS EVICTED - Da'Vonne 6-2 (Z+Meech). She had a one-way ticket. First member of jury. I love the idea of the round-trip ticket but I really hope it doesn't get used tonight with Frank. We'll see! Thanks for the new thread.

I have been trying to figure out how they could've set it up so that Frank specifically comes back in and the remaining HGs not be fully aware it was entirely set up, but I'm a bit stumped since they all have envelopes. I'm now wondering if there's not another returning juror twist waiting down the line, perhaps one in a Frank-friendly comp, especially if this Secret Room Envelope thing doesn't work. JMac came back last season pretty late in the game (5th maybe?), so it wouldn't be unheard of.

I just read on Twitter that BB16 houseguest, Frankie Grande, will be on Celebrity Big Brother UK this season. I'm not sorry I won't be seeing him!!

So really the round trip ticket can be used at any time? or is there a time frame? I mean, how would that work in the final 2-3?

So really the round trip ticket can be used at any time? or is there a time frame? I mean, how would that work in the final 2-3? When Julie initially announced the Secret Room, she said it would be only be in play for the next four weeks. Most sources I've seen seem to agree that means that the round trip tickets are also only good for the next four weeks. If anyone is certain, please share, or maybe Julie will spell it out more clearly tonight. I just read on Twitter that BB16 houseguest, Frankie Grande, will be on Celebrity Big Brother UK this season. I'm not sorry I won't be seeing him!! They can keep him! Does their filming process extend long enough to prevent us from having a Frankie visit in our BB house this year?

I won't be 'watching' the show with you all tonight. We have out of state company and have a wild game of Dominoes on the agenda for this evening. I will have to record and watch it later. I hope it's a good one, and I hope Frank goes out the door without the Round Trip ticket!

Frank evicted as expected, unanimous vote. Julie opened his envelope while the entire house was watching, but his ticket was one way, so Frank is officially going home.
HOH comp allows HGs to practice as long as they'd like, using a yellow ball, before they take one shot with their red ball. Red ball is what scores. Goal is to roll the ball down a skinny, winding board. HG who makes the perfect shot (hole at the end) first is the winner. If no one makes perfect shot, the person who makes it the farthest wins. (Tiebreaker is who rolls it first.) Lowest four HGs will be have-nots. Show ended with everyone practicing and feeds remain down.
NEW: America gets to vote to send a HG a care package! This will go on for five weeks. Each care pkg will provide something that helps the HG, #ButFirst realize that a HG may ONLY receive ONE care package during this game. The first care pkg we can send is "Never Have-Not." The winner won't be a Have-Not for the remainder of the game, but vote wisely, America, because the HG you choose to win this WILL NOT have another care pkg available to them.
(Thanks, Julie, I think this is our clue not to give this to James.)

Any news on who got HOH??

Care Package VOTE HEREThese are kinda awesome! You may vote up to 20 times. Week one: Never Not Pass. The winner cannot be named a Have-Not for the rest of the season. So long, slop! VOTING ENDS JULY 29 at 1PM EST Week two (July 31): Eliminate Two Eviction Votes. The winner of this care package could single-handedly flip the house by preventing two HGs of their choosing from voting in this week's eviction. Week Three (Aug 7): Super Safety. The good news is, the winner of this care package will be safe for the week. The bad news is, this HG must also wear a "Super Safety" costume all week long. Week Four (Aug 14): Co-HOH. This winner automatically becomes Co-HOH, sharing all HOH perks and responsibilities for the duration of the week, including choosing one of the two nominees. Week Five (Aug 21): BB Bribe. The winner gets $5k to bribe one HG! Bribes may influence voting, competitions, vetoes, or nominations. The bribe can only be given to one HG, for one action, within the week leading up to the next eviction.

Any news on who got HOH?? Nope, feeds still down. I missed it, but on Jokers they said Paulie threw it before the show ended (landed on 6) & said it appeared he may've done it deliberately because he didn't seem upset or anything. My internet is also in & out due to a storm which isn't helping, lol.

PAUL is HOH

Paul says his target is Bridgette. He's asking Corey/Victor if one of them will be a pawn, wants a boy who's a good competitor against Bridge. Vic says no because he's not comfortable and was already voted out once. Corey said nothing. Paul said they'll talk about it later.
Natalie was upset as soon as the feeds came back b/c she expects to go up as a pawn.
Paul telling Day he's keeping his word (getting Bridge out) & no one needs to talk to him about it; just keep him safe next week.

Have Nots are Zakiyah, Corey, Natalie, Paulie. Corey is not happy.
Paulie confirms he threw the comp. Paul didn't have a perfect shot but landed in number 21.

For a while last night, it sounded like Nicole may have actually been considering going up as a pawn. Paul said he needs a good competitor on the block with Bridgette. She made Paul promise that if she got off the block, Day would go up. Paul promised not to screw her over. But later it sounded like Paulie was going to be the pawn. Paul is firm that Bridgette is his main goal, but if the house wants to vote another way ( meaning Day), he is ok with that.

Nominations are today. It sounds like Bridgette will go on the block no matter what, so the question is who will go up beside her? Voting for the Never Not Pass concludes today at 1p EDT.

My FIL and his wife are coming to visit from NJ this weekend. I'll be peeking in when I can to see what's going on. Hopefully, it's a fun, drama-filled week in the house. Thursday Feed Highlights from Big Brother Network: bigbrothernetwork.com/big-brother-18-live-feeds-highlights-2016-07-28/8:23 PM BBT – Feeds return from the blocked HoH competition.
8:24 PM BBT – Paul is wearing the key around his neck. He is the new Head of Household.
8:25 PM BBT – Paul is excited to get a letter from his mom.
8:26 PM BBT – Da’Vonne and Michelle discuss plans to send Bridgette out the door.
8:30 PM BBT – Paul asks Corey and Victor if one of them would volunteer to be the pawn to go up against Bridgette so they can have a strong competitor with him in the Veto comp. Victor immediately says no because he is too vulnerable as a returning HG now.
8:31 PM BBT – Paul promises Da’Vonne he’s sticking to the plan and Bridgette will be his target.
8:35 PM BBT – Have-Nots confirmed as Corey, Paulie, Zakiyah, and Natalie as the lowest scores in the comp.
8:55 PM BBT – Natalie is struggling with geography and wonders if Japan is an island.
9:15 PM BBT – Victor and Bridgette chat a little. He’s trying to encourage her.
9:40 PM BBT – Paulie and Corey discussing targets for this week. They know Paul wants Bridgette out, but Paulie is hoping they can shift the target to Da’Vonne. He doesn’t want a guy going up as a pawn so they don’t risk losing a guy.
9:43 PM BBT – Paulie feels pretty sure he can convince Paul to put up Da’Vonne and target her instead of Bridgette.
9:45 PM BBT – James comes by and Paulie floats his plan by James about getting Day up on the Block. James says he’s good with that, but he thinks Day and Paul are on better terms than Paulie thinks.
9:47 PM BBT – Paulie warns Corey that Day is pushing to get Nicole up and out. Paulie says he doesn’t want to get Bridgette out right now.
9:52 PM BBT – Paul arrives. Paulie goes right in for it and says they can’t risk having a guy vulnerable on the Block. Paul says it’ll be fine. Paulie tells Paul they need to put Da’Vonne up and get her out this week. Paul doesn’t like this plan at all. Paul is adamant that Bridgette needs to go this week.
9:55 PM BBT – Paul says he wants to put up Victor and then maybe he can use Da’Vonne as a renom, but he still wants Bridgette to be the target. Paul doesn’t want Da’Vonne going up now and then causing trouble for a full week. Paulie says it’ll give her the chance to make herself a target.
9:56 PM BBT – Paulie suggests they could use Natalie as a pawn instead. Paul says to talk with James and Natalie to get their blessing, but he still wants Bridgette as the target.
9:59 PM BBT – James (and everyone else) is certain next week is a double eviction (it’s not).
10:27 PM BBT – Paulie, Victor and Corey talking about which girl needs to go up if Paul isn’t going to nominate Da’Vonne. Paulie says they need to talk to Zakiyah and Nicole and get one of them on the block.
10:29 PM BBT – Paul is annoyed that no one will volunteer to go up next to Bridgette. He wants Bridgette out, but Paulie is still pushing for Da’Vonne.
10:35 PM BBT – Paul gives in to Paulie about putting Da’Vonne up if the veto is used.
10:38 PM BBT – Nicole and Z don’t understand why Victor isn’t going to be the pawn next to Bridgtte. They think he’s the best choice.
10:42 PM BBT – Corey tells Nicole that Paul is coming around to the idea of backdooring Da’Vonne. Nicole says he should put Day up outright “as a pawn.” Corey agrees. Nicole refuses to go up as a pawn and says she’d hold a grudge against Paul.
10:55 PM BBT – Nicole still thinks Day should go up as a pawn but then says Paulie should volunteer since he put Paul up as a pawn. Nicole says she wants Da’Vonne out more than she wanted Frank out.
11:21 PM BBT – Paul tells Da’Vonne not to worry about this week. He tells her his target is Bridgette and he plans to win veto too. She says she’s not worried about him, just what others will be saying. He again tells her not to worry.
11:30 PM BBT – Paulie working on splitting Zakiyah and Da’Vonne by telling her that Day is just like Frank but loyal to no one. He warns Zakiyah that Da’Vonne is trying to get the couples so she needs to go.
11:45 PM BBT – James tells Paulie that someone else needs to be the pawn instead of Natalie.
11:55 PM BBT – Natalie is upset and tells James if she wins HoH next week then she’ll put up anyone who nominated her. She’s frustrated with how the others are playing.
12:00 AM BBT – James doesn’t like the idea of BD’ing Da’Vonne because it’s not like she is going to win anything. James realizes he’s ranked low in the house with the way they’re treating his ally Natalie. James admits it doesn’t look like anyone is going after Bridgette this week.
12:10 AM BBT – Nicole promising Natalie she’d be safe if she went up as a pawn and that Bridgette is the target.
12:55 AM BBT – Paul tells his allies he still wants Bridgette out this week but agrees to Da’Vonne being the backup target. 1:00 AM BBT – Nicole says she’s willing to go up as a pawn.
1:05 AM BBT – Da’Vonne shows up in HoH and discusses going up with Paul. He promises her she isn’t going up.
1:15 AM BBT – Paul again reminds Paulie that he really, really wants Bridgette out this week just like how Paulie wanted Tiffany out.
1:30 AM BBT – Zakiyah and James are frustrated about Paul not putting Victor up despite saying he wants to put up someone strong.
1:35 AM BBT – Nicole talking with Michelle and wishing she hadn’t volunteered to be the pawn. They’re upset that Paul won’t nominate Natalie.
1:50 AM BBT – And now Nicole is back to offering to Paul that she’ll be the pawn and he can put her up if Da’Vonne is the renom. Paul promises Nicole she’d be safe and he’d use the Veto on her if he wins it.
2:15 AM BBT – After a lot of back and forth over who to nominate as the pawn Paulie has decided he’s the best pawn and offers to go up. Paul agrees and again reminds everyone he wants Bridgette out, but will go with whatever the voting majority wants. Nicole says it’s okay, she’ll be the pawn. Corey also offers to be a pawn because apparently all of them were dropped on their heads.
2:25 AM BBT – Paulie promises to nominate Bridgette and Victor next week if they get out Da’Vonne this week.
2:40 AM BBT – Paul and Paulie discuss their greatness and the awesomeness of their plan to put Paulie up on the Block.
Well that was an interesting night. After Paul takes over as HoH he has no plan for how to get his target, Bridgette, out and is instead led around the nominations circuit and told what to do by the other HGs. Now it looks like Bridgette and Paulie will go up with Da’Vonne as the target. Messy.

I appreciate the updates here because the last thing I was able to see was all the house figuring out the code to the secret room. The shows are posted for free on CBS.com if you'd like to catch the rest of the episode. Did you get to see the former HGs comment on their pals? They had Jason Roy (Da'Vonne), Meg (James), Boogie (Frank), and Hayden (Nicole). It was a cute piece, but I always enjoy the fluff. My FIL and his wife are coming to visit from NJ this weekend. I'll be peeking in when I can to see what's going on. Hopefully, it's a fun, drama-filled week in the house. Hope you enjoy this visit (since it's family you could be looking forward to it or dreading it, lol). I'm definitely looking for drama. There's so much ambivalence swirling around who is the "pawn" next to Bridgette. Paul I think really does want Bridgette out, King Paulie & Nicole want Da'Vonne out. Bridgette's odds are increasing by the minute. Looks like it's wake-up time.

Have a good weekend, IAmUnoriginal! We have a bunch of company coming, too. Some here already, more coming. Our son and family (5 of them) will be here (at our house) tomorrow for a week! My in-laws lived right next door, and although they are both gone now, my BIL still lives there in the big house. My DH's family comes to town and stays there just like they always have. I am hoping for action in the BB house this week, and I am hoping I can catch some of it! Let's all keep posting when we can!

HGs were informed about the care packages (not the contents, but that there are 5 coming, one per week, all different). HGs must open the packages in front of everyone. Natalie won the Never Not Pass. There were some cutesy treats in there also (socks, cookies, etc.).
Now that Natalie's no longer a have not, her name is popping back up as a potential nominee. Paulie still says he's going up, and Michelle's been thrown out there also.

Da'Vonne told Bridgette that she needs to win the veto and push for Nicole to go up. She (Day) doesn't know SHE would be the replacement. Paulie is pushing for her to go up, so Paul is now focused on back dooring Day. Rumor has it that Day has the Round Trip ticket. She has the Ocho Rios = Eight Rivers = #8 ticket. The Ocho Rios sign is associated with the Secret Room = Round Trip ticket?? It could be an interesting week.
