Morning ladies!! It's been a busy morning already! I FINALLY got some sleep last night. A solid 6 hours. I'll take it!! Dh and I already went out for a walk/run using the SIT app that needmysanity recommended yesterday. LOVE that thing!!! I jogged outside in the 85 degree heat (I'm used to 75 and air conditioned basement) and blazing sun - we did 3 intervals of 7 mins jogging and 2 mins walking...and then we walked for 7 mins and then sprinted as much of the 2 mins as I could handle (which wasn't too much - maybe 45 seconds to a min). I burned close to 400 calories and felt like it was the first good workout/run I've done all week. Sleep does wonders!! My eating was less than stellar yesterday but it's already better today! I have a bunch of errands and work outside I want to get done today. And the house needs to be touched up since we're having my BFF and her family over tonight for a fire and smores. I'm back from my wonderful girls' trip. We had an excellent and relaxing time together. Of course I ate and drank more than normal, but I didn't go off the rails. Reality hit me in the face this morning. During my morning walk, I thought about all I need to do before I go back to work on Monday. Tomorrow my main focus will be planning and preparing my work lunches. We will be fed nearly every day during pre planning, but I'm going to try and bring my normal/healthy lunches and avoid the high calorie and sweet foods we typically get.

tuesdaysgone, glad you had a great trip! brandy327, that sounds like a great workout. I should look at that app! We lost power at 4:45 a.m. For some unknown reason. Didn't come back on until 10 a.m. That was a LONG and rough morning without electricity. My neighbor and I were texting at 6 a.m. She thought she forgot to pay her bill. She had me cracking up! And the house was SO quiet without the hum of things running. Guess I don't realize the noises things make until they don't run. LOL! I am just sitting down and am ready for a nap. Helped DD#2 load her car, and she is headed back to school. DD#1 will go on Monday. Then I will take DD#3 in a couple of weeks. School starts on 8/23 but the first two have honor's projects and orientation training stuff to do early. I can't believe things will come to a screeching halt in a few weeks, and I will be so lonely. I am SO proud of them but man I miss my girls when they are gone!!! Hubby is grilling this weekend for us so lots of yummy grilled food. Had a smoothie for lunch. Just haven't been hungry. Well, enjoy the day everyone!

Hello everyone. I have got a nasty sinus headache today. I have no idea why as I've been feeling fine all week. It basically knocked me out and I slept after my WW meeting for an hour and a half. Ugh. It just hurts and it's making me feel very cranky. So, I weighed in this morning and I have no loss, but no gain. I stayed exactly the same. I'm not really sure how I feel about it. I'm glad there wasn't a gain, but I'm slightly annoyed with not having lost. On my scale, I was down 0.4, but then again, I weigh first thing in the morning in my underpants, so there's that. Hopefully, once my period is over, I'll show a better loss. Not sure what the rest of the day holds. I'm hoping my meds will kick in and my headache will subside and I feel like moving my butt. Have a great Saturday.

What a nice morning here. The humidity dropped a bit, so DH and I weeded the gardens for about an hour and a half. It made a huge difference, and we're both pooped. Got all my CSA produce washed and put away. I guess we're having six ears of corn tonight, LOL. I'll cook it all and use some in something else Monday.
Tomorrow we pick up DS from Tanglewood. I'm so happy about it. We get to hear his chamber concert and then the wind ensemble. So it will be a long day-- the chamber concert is at 10:00 and it's about a 3 hour drive from here. So out the door early, and hopefully be back before bedtime.

brandy327 - I'm glad you liked the app. I ran 4.5 miles this morning and used the app. I did 5 min run/2 min walk. I really didn't get tired until mile 4. I am trying to add .25 miles to my long run each week. Once I hit 6 miles I will start increasing my run interval. Patter - losing power freaks me out. I go into serious anxiety mode when that happens. I will not be a good person if we ever have a natural disaster! I took a nap today. It was glorious! It's 110 outside so there is nothing to do except sit in front of fans and nap. Tomorrow I'm driving over to the coast to see my birthmom. She is up from Palm Springs spending the weekend over there so I'm going over for the day. It's 65 degrees over there...so much better than here!

Thanks Patter ! I'm going to get one--I keep getting these horrible sinus headaches and I haven't found anything other than advil that help. Have you tried Excedrin Migraine? We do that AND the ice pack. We keep about 5 of those packs in the freezer so they are easy to switch out when they get warm. All 4 of us girls use them.

Hey girls! Trying desperately to enjoy my last few days of summer. My food has been WAYYY off but I did groceries today and will meal prep tomorrow--back into that grind again! I'm not looking forward to going back to work already but I am looking foward to routine that I know will help keep my nutrition on track. Did CrossFit this morning and had one of my university students for my partner, which was fun. My wrist is still showing some weaknesses and some pain (when a lot of grip/forearm work is required) so I'm working with one of my coaches to come up with some rehab for it. I got to shoot a gender reveal today for one of the couples from CrossFit. They did the softball one (where the ball is filled with colored powder). It's a GIRL and their reactions were PRICELESS. brandy327 I'm so glad you got some sleep! Patter my DD is gone for 10 days, even with the power on it is too quiet! tuesdaysgone I'm doing pre-planning meal prep too. They always order pie from the local Perkins on our first day and we take a "pie break" during our first day meeting. I'll be over there with carrot sticks or something, lol. missfrenchjessica I hope your headache gets better! maryannscraps fresh corn is the best! I love it fresh off the grill. needmysanity great run!

I doubt I will go to the gym tonight as we tend to eat dinner late most nights and the gym closes at 8 on weekends. I could go for a good, long walk, though and that might be nice. I worked today and did plenty of walking at the store.
I am down a whole .2 lbs. Yeah don't get too excited for me. I wasn't impressed either.

Hello ladies! Late check in today. We went to Dh's company party. It was a lovely family event. Then home to clean. I got a run in this evening. Only 3 miles. I have slacked on mileage this week. Next week I am back to work on Tuesday, so I plan to get myself back on a regular schedule. Tomorrow we are taking the kids and their friends to an amusement /water park. I am looking forward to a nice day with them all. Delta Dawn I am impressed. Any week without a gain is a good week in my book. littlefish What do you meal prep? Patter I am not looking forward to the day my dd goes off to college. I could not imagine three at once. brandy327 Love the new picture! needmysanity I could not survive temps in the 100's. I have a 95 degree max. Lol. missfrenchjessica Sinus headaches are the worst. Hate them! tuesdaysgone Glad you had a wonderful time! maryannscraps I love to cut corn off the cob once it has cooled. It makes corn ribbons that I use on salad. Love a good BBQ chicken salad with these.

We get sinus headaches, hormonal headaches, and pressure change headaches. Just call us the headache people. Ugh. Anyway, several things work. First of all, Flonase every.single.day! That helps with the allergies that cause the sinus problems in the fist place. I also notice since I switched to unsweetened almond milk instead of regular skim milk, that has helped too (getting rid of that mucus). Then yes, Excedrin migraine. It contains aspirin, acetaminophen, and caffeine. That combo really helps with any headache IMO. My daughter that has a Chiari Malformation cannot take it though because of the other meds she is on, and she also get Botox injections for her headaches. Anyway, sorry for the long story to say yes, try Excedrin Migraine for any headache. LOL! Get a small bottle and try it as long as you can have those ingredients.

I took my early morning walk today and was sad knowing that as of tomorrow I'll have to start walking in the evenings. I really enjoy starting my day off with exercise. Yes, I know I could get up at a crazy early hour and exercise, but I've tried that and it wasn't for me. Like TankTop, I'll have to get into a new school routine with my exercise. We did almost nothing yesterday, which was very nice. Today I'll be getting the house clean and getting myself psyched up for school.

I'm going to do my food prep but it won't take too long, thankfully. Then I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I may head downstairs and do some rearranging. Now that I'm doing some workouts with weights, I need to move some stuff around to give myself a little more room. I hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Hi all, Just got in from my run. Not as good as the other day but still OK. Just made a list of my goals for the week and hopefully I can make better eating a priority. I've kind of fallen off the wagon. No big plans for the rest of the day except I may watch an episode or two of Grey's Anatomy… I must be the only person on the planet who is never seen it!! Enjoy this (long--in Canada anyway!) weekend.

Happy Sunday! Did some yoga this morning and finished my meal prep. To answer TankTop 's question, I made up a batch of deviled eggs (hard boiled in the Instant Pot and made with plain Greek yogurt instead of mayo), parmesan roasted baby carrots, and a Sweet Potato Hash Bake--the recipe called for chorizo to give it a Mexican flare but I had some ground beef that needed to be used up. I partitioned it into containers-half for the fridge and half for the freezer. It's just me in the house this week. I also rinsed up some fruit so it's ready to go. I start work officially on Wednesday but I'm going to get my keys for the classroom tomorrow. The rest of today is folding up laundry, tidying up, and a friend's baptism at the lake. Enjoy your Sunday! ETA: photo of the hash Not fancy but a good mix of protein, good carbs (from the sweet potatoes) and fat!

littlefish, you will have to tell us how it tastes! And I forgot to tell y'all that I found the Yasso bars at my local store even though their site said they were not in my area. Anyway, YUM! I have tried the cookie dough and the mint chocolate chip. I would love to try the peanut butter but they don't sell that one. I may request it and see if they will get it in!

Well my rest day turned into a quick 30 min walk on the treadmill. Sundays are consistently my worst steps day and I rarely meet my goal on Sunday. So today - I shall meet my goal. ETA: DH decided HE wanted to go for a walk after dinner - so I got another 30 min walk in. Definitely met my step goal for today!
