So it seems Mr. Trump was briefly stuck in an elevator before a campaign event in Colorado yesterday. After being rescued by the fire department, he Article

And the crowd probably cheered. Nothing he says surprises me anymore. And I firmly believe that nothing, and I mean nothing, he says or does will make his supporters stop following him.

I literally laughed out loud at this. How out of touch with the real world can you be? Sure, the country is in a bad place because people are doing their jobs keeping people safe.

I'm surprised he hasn't criticized God for taking a WHOLE WEEK to make the world. I'm sure he could have done it in less time. (EYEROLL)...because he knows THE BEST PEOPLE.

I can't stomach any of the candidates, but sheesh, talk about biting the hand that feeds (or rescues) you. From one of the articles I read, the campaign issued around 10,000 tickets for this event in a venue with a 1500 capacity. Sounds like someone in the campaign doesn't understand math.

I'm surprised he hasn't criticized God for taking a WHOLE WEEK to make the world. And then he'd accuse God of being a Democrat.

Ugh.
But it was nice to see in a related story on that link about Mark Cuban, a billionaire entrepreneur who initially liked Trump and advised Trump to LEARN about the President's job ( and Trump has not, so Cuban is worried). Cuban apparently said at a Pittsburgh rally that Trump has gone batshit crazy, and Cuban feels the interests of the country lie with Clinton.

As the daughter of a firefighter and sister of a fire marshall, I applaud the Colorado Springs Fire marshall for not being intimidated. No matter what the event is fire codes and public safety is the most important issue.

Did he also stomp his little feet, too?
He was probably just mad because he didn't have good reception in the elevator and couldn't Tweet. Plus he couldn't have had more than a couple of secret service agents, no adoring fans to cheer him. He must go through withdrawal when he is alone without his admirers.

Yes, and if the rules hadn't been enforced and an over-capacity crowd had been allowed in, and then there was a fire and people got hurt or even died because they couldn't all get out in time...then Trump would have said it was the fault of the fire marshal for not enforcing the laws. Although actually, now that I type that out I realize I'm probably mistaken. It wouldn't have been the fire marshal's fault, it would have been Hillary Clinton's fault for "allowing" the incompetent fire marshal to have that job. Or something.

Each building has a predetermined capacity limit calculated due to building type, size, construction type, #& location of exits, sprinklers and location of the building. That capacity is most often calculated at the time a CO is granted and it is calculated by the building code official or the fire code inspection official OR it is calculated by the buildings designer and approved by either of the above. The overall maximum number is determined long ago and is altered/lowered for each individual event depending upon if/how much floor space is consumed by fixed items for the event ( stages, scaffolding, etc ) and it is also lowered if exits are obstructed by the event. The final max occupancy has nothing to do with who is there, just WHAT is there.
The Fire Marshall, who is frequently a different person than the fire code inspection official, enforces building occupancy regulations while the building is in operation. This is done on a daily basis in conjunction with the fire department who is responsible for responding to any issues In the building. Fire Marshalls for large venues can and often do use counts provided by the venue as people enter with their tickets. The Fire Marshall is entitled to have his own people there to do counts if the want to. But however the people are counted the maximum is the maximum. Your either over the number or your not. Frankly they are more likely to miss a person(s) who entered backstage or otherwise working at the venue than to over count.
One would think Trump, having built and run so many buildings, would know this.
As if the Fire Marshall didn't have enough shit to deal with already.
Should have left him on the elevator

Is he trying really hard to lose in a national election? Look at the majority of the voters who want him to win; working class people. He has insulted the military and a fire department in the last few days.

Oh wait...are his security team democrats too? They seem to be incompetent too, well certainly as far as elevators go or was it DT. that once again thought he knew it all! According to Perry Sanders, a lawyer who co-owns the hotel, Mr Trump’s security team had control of the hotel’s lifts at the time. His security insisted on having manual control of the elevators. An investigation into the mishap on Friday afternoon by technicians revealed the elevator stopped working because someone turned the manual key while it was moving. Shame the fire dept was so competent at their job and got him out of there so quickly!

It's not clear from the article but did he ever say thank you for being rescued? Knowing Trump, he'll say the fire marshall should be thanking him for the privilege of pulling his golden bottom out of the elevator.

Cuban did like Trump at one point - but Cuban has enough sense to realize Trump has gone off the rails (or was he even on it?) and call it like it is. As a Dallas area resident, I don't always agree with Cuban, but he has my respect, he steps up when needed, and doesn't do it so that he can be on the evening news.

Oh good grief...even the fire marshal said she wasn't at all bothered by the comment in the article. There are so many outrage worthy things that both candidates do. This is not one of them.
I even took the time to watch the video of the speech.

He has insulted the military and a fire department in the last few days. Colorado Springs has 5 military bases in and around the city. It makes up a huge base of our population. I can see a swing on my FB feed from Trump to anyone but Trump in the last few weeks. Thankfully most of my friends and family don't post much politically anyway.

I even took the time to watch the video of the speech. The reason it's "news" is because its a pattern he repeats over and over and over again. Say or do something he doesn't like and he attacks. And most of the time it's over nothing which says a lot for his paranoia. Not a trait you want in a potential President of the United States.
