Sometimes it seems we talk about organizing our stash almost as much as we talk about scrapbooking. It seems to me they go together. You can't have one without the other. I think I spend a lot of time organizing...yesterday, I spent several hours just taking everything off my table, dusting, putting it in a different place or container. Not sure what I accomplished, but I touched everything and found some lost stuff.
I love organization in every area of my life and I think that's why I love scrapbooking. It's really about organizing memories. What say the peas?

Ugh. I have more stuff than places to put it, which means I spend so much of my time trying to better organize everything than actually scrapping. And it's not that I really have a lot of stuff. It's that I have a very small work space.
One of my major goals when the kids go back to school is device a lasting, easy to maintain organizational & storage method to us in my space.

I moved my craft room several months ago. Months and months ago. And I'm still organizing. Ugh.
I've created very, very little. And I'm still organizing. I think I need a "stop organizing and start creating" intervention. LOL

I always stop after a project and put everything away.
I agree that a lot of us seem to love to organize our stash!

I go on big organization binges. I will take everything out of the room, clean, rearrange, and put back. But I find that taking everything out takes 2 hours but putting everything back takes 2 weeks.

I have been organising & purging like crazy lately. I brought all new storage as the stuff I had was far too small to store anything properly. I know have all my embossing folders together, all my punches together, all my paper pads together etc. It's wonderful 😄
I have found stuff I have no recollection of buying along with multiples of other items. Why did I think it was a good idea to buy over 100 flairs? I hardly use them.
My room is cleaner, tidier and although it is a still a tiny tiny room at least I can now see my desk and move about in there. It's taken a few months on & off but it's so worth it. There are still a few things to sort and purge but I am so close to finishing. Now I am organised I don't feel so claustrophobic and actually want to craft now.

I have done almost 180 pages since January and I have organized and purged as much as I have scrapped! I have probably shopped enough for 300 pages. I think my scrapping is just a byproduct of my shopping and organizing.

I just bought a new house and now have an area in the basement family room for a craft room. Exciting! But...I have sooo much stuff!!! I want it to be cute and functional and am therefore doing lots of planning/organizing/purging. And Pinterest is my best friend right now:) So many good tips and cute ideas.

I go on scrapping binges, and don't organize or put anything away until I am done my project(s) or the piles on surfaces get to critical mass and stuff starts falling off or I can't find anything in the clutter. Then I stop playing and start working (putting things away).
And I keep the same organization system until it just doesn't work anymore.
For me, the fun part is the creative process of making cards or putting together a page. My right brain is popping with ideas and energy. When I am organizing, that requires my left brain, and I find that becomes NO FUN AT ALL!

I totally agree. DH will tell you that I only buy stuff so I can organize it. This is me exactly! I love creating and organizing equally. And while it may seem like a weird thing to do for enjoyment, it works for me

I love to organize anything. Doesn't have to be scrappy stuff. I get a lot of satisfaction from it. For me scrapbooking is not about organizing my memories. I just like to craft in general, but the pretty paper is what makes papercrafting my #1 favored craft.

I think I need a "stop organizing and start creating" intervention. LOL I feel your pain! I finally got my studio space finished the way I wanted it a year ago February and spent months getting stuff unpacked, sorted (sort of!) and a lot of stuff pulled out to purge. Started organizing it and when fall came I just stalled out when my DD got busy with starting school, we got busy with Halloween then Christmas, etc. Three scrappy rummage sales and a garage sale later and I'm no closer to having my stuff organized, although now there is less of it. I have one more sale this fall to go, and after that anything that's still left is getting donated somewhere. I'm sick of dealing with it and looking at it. I too need to get back to actually working on stuff instead of just thinking about what I'd like to do.

I had a nice organized corner of the family room. DH decided he wanted a larger TV so we then flip flopped the room and my organization became chaos. Just when I was thinking of buying more storage cubes, DD decided to reorganize her room and I now have 4 more cubes! (Apple doesn't fall far from the tree, but she is better at purging). I know what I'll be doing this week.

I'm a binge scrapper, meaning that I only have time and energy to scrap every few months. I like organizing my supplies to help me reacquaint myself with what I have before I start one of my sessions. I don't have a dedicated space, just the dining room table, so I have to be able to efficiently find and move what I need. This weekend, I got to caress and organize my supplies, PLUS make a few layouts. It was lovely

I think I love the organizing process as much as the creative process. My problem is I love shopping and love my stash so organizing just makes me happy to look at it again if that makes sense.

sometime I re-org my stuff just to look at it and remind myself of what I have, sometimes the re-org getting my creative juices flowing.....sometimes I just like to rearrange....
