I am pissed as hell at the Democratic Party, and I'd much rather have a different Democratic candidate, but I still think she's a better more dangerous choice than Donald Trump. Welcome to my world. I'd like to vote for the woman everyone was talking about at the DNC convention. Too bad it wasn't Hillary. I hear you, but strongly disagree that she's a more dangerous choice than Donald Trump. After what he has said and done in the last week, I'm stunned that anyone would still think of voting for him. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ There is Something Very Wrong With Donald Trump

I know I've supported Johnson here, and to some extent I still do ... but I have to tell you, (a) I liked what I saw at the DNC and (b) Real Clear Politics has moved Texas from solidly red to only leaning toward Trump (pink rather than red), and that was right *before* the DNC convention. I'm not sure what the latest polling is, but if there is any chance of the race being close in Texas, I don't feel I can in good conscience vote third party. The chance to turn Texas blue is too good to pass up. I think many here are completely disgusted by Trump's attitude towards Mexicans - our state is 45% Hispanic - so it *could* happen. Maybe compwalla has some Texas poll numbers for us - I couldn't find any post-convention numbers online. Hillary is still not the principled candidate I would like to see running - I was a Bernie supporter in the beginning - but I don't think her lies are anything out of the ordinary for US politicians, and I think we absolutely have to make sure Trump doesn't win.

Ummm. The article you linked gives times for children and young adults recovering from a concussion. I guess you should fault me for having to be in a cast for 8 weeks for a broken wrist that my son would have recovered from in 4 weeks. Clearly, there is something wrong with me - well, yeah, I'm old. Although younger than Hillary was when she got a concussion. How quick do you take to recover compared to a 12 year old? I'm willing to bet a cup of coffee that Bernie, at his age, would take even longer to recover from a concussion than Hillary. Go ahead, trash her for her lying and email scandal. Fair game. Slamming her for recovery time from a traumatic brain injury? That is the kind of scummy behavior I would expect from Donald Trump, not from you, Miz. You are usually much classier than that. You know elaine, that's a really good point. I did kinda skim the article. In trying to find a better source of concussion recovery times, I found some alarming information, such as the connection between geriatric concussion and TIA's and also Alzheimer's pathology. That said, it is true the Hillary has been very open about her health, much moreso than Trump:

Did anyone else notice that when Hillary clinched the nomination as well as in her acceptance speech she was dressed in white like a new bride or Mrs. Clean? I think it's going to take a lot more than that visual to get the stank off her. This kind of talk is so beyond the pale, that I have to wonder if you're parroting some pundit. Not sure which option is worse: that you'd listen to and repeat that kind of nasty hate speak, or that you'd come up with that (of all things) to criticize her for. Either way, it's just downright wrong.

Please your feigned outrage is comical. Want something more substantive? Why did Hillary's people get two of the three debates scheduled opposite during NFL games? The DNC is using the same playbook they used in the debates with Sanders.

I am no fan of Hillary Clinton or the DNC. But when you start acting like the worst of the media and Trump himself, then hell yes, I'm going to speak up and say something. I'm not 'outraged' like you claim, but my disgust at your behavior is most certainly not feigned.

I not only read it; I read several articles that said the same thing. That she wore white as a nod to the suffragettes. Historically, white was a chosen color of many suffragettes. There is a famous picture of a suffragette in white riding a white horse. Her mother was born on a notable day in suffragette history, too. I think(but am not positive) that it was on the day that Congress passed the 19th amendment.

Thanks for this - I know nothing about these two, but I am going to do some research. I'm feeling more and more like I can't in good conscience vote for either of the two jackasses the major parties have foisted on us, and would love it if there was another option. SaveSaveCNN is having live town hall with Johnson and Weld on Wednesday August 3rd at 9 pm Eastern Time. It will be a good opportunity to learn more about them.

Yes, let's bring up the debates so we can bring up another lie by the Donald. He's running for president and doesn't know the simplest of rules!!! Another Donald lieThe NFL is pushing back on Donald Trump's claim that he received a letter from the football organization over the presidential debate schedule, tweeting out a denial Saturday evening. Brian McCarthy, an NFL spokesperson, sent this message on Twitter: @mikesisak @alexweprin While we'd obviously wish the Debate Commission could find another night, we did not send a letter to Mr Trump. — Brian McCarthy (@nflprguy) July 30, 2016 Trump, in an interview with ABC News earlier this week, complained about the three presidential debates, two of which are scheduled for the same night as NFL games. "I'll tell you what I don't like," Trump said. "It's against two NFL games. I got a letter from the NFL saying, 'This is ridiculous.'""I don't think we should be against the NFL," he went on. "I don't know how the dates are picked."debate infoIn fact, the nonpartisan commission -- not the Democratic party -- selected the dates. The schedule was announced in September 2015.

You know what I wonder? If she is so bad, then why are these prominent Republicans supporting her? Maybe Brent Scrowcroft and other lifelong Republicans are delusional. I don't think so. Because they're establishment. She's establishment. Of course they'll support one of their own. Two sides of the same coin, I tell ya. This. Erin

My husband has worked with TBI studies in the military, so they are a frequent topic here at home. I think that health is a topic that I'm not willing to let sway my vote. I consider JFK a great president and also FDR, both who had serious health issues during their presidencies. I wasn't sure that Reagan would survive his presidency, but he did. HW Bush had Graves Disease while in office. W almost choked to death on a pretzel! If they are healthy enough to survive a year of campaigning, I'll go with healthy enough to be president. Health, in some ways, is such an unpredictable crapshoot. Most people don't see cancer coming ahead of time, for example. If Bernie were the democratic nominee, I would have voted for him, even though his age would bring some health concerns with it. Again, if someone can withstand the campaign, I'll say "healthy enough."

You really have no idea how much I would love to think she is a wonderful woman who would make a good president. Even to the point of recognizing that this point in history is a chance for her to rise up and become that woman everyone was talking about at the DNC convention. What an opportunity! Anyone who has ever desperately needed a second chance to change their life understands what has been handed to Hillary Clinton on a silver platter. I certainly do. She responded to the opportunity the first chance she had with even more obvious lies. Can you imagine how she would be treated here on this board if she behaved this way? ETA - I really don't want to argue about this right now. I've erased the last couple of sentences since Trump is no picnic either.

On Sunday, the former secretary of state told FOX News’ Chris Wallace that FBI Director James Comey cleared her of misleading the public about her rogue email server at the state department: “Director Comey said my answers were truthful, and what I’ve said is consistent with what I have told the American people, that there were decisions discussed and made to classify retroactively certain of the emails.” Damn.just.damn

I read this and although it's a parody of her actual speech it is the most truthful thing I've read in years. People need to get the heck over it. The thought - the very idea - that ANYONE could vote for Donald Trump over a woman who has contributed as much as Hillary Clinton has is insane to me. Every word of the speeches made about her at the DNC was true - the woman they were describing IS Hillary Clinton. The biggest problem I see is that frankly, a whole lot of people in the US aren't good enough for her. You should be thrilled she even WANTS this job. Fair warning - foul language. Let Me Remind You

But to make up lies or just repeat (yes, parrot) the propaganda-Kool aid pouring-party line bull is just pathetic.
