Along the outside of your hand (between wrist and pinky) and 5 days later it still really hurts, would u still think bone bruise or something more? It's only slightly bruised with a small bump on the outside?

For me personally, if I have function in my hand and it just hurts as a bruise, then I would just treat with ibuprofen. If it still felt the same after 2 weeks then I would go get it checked out. AGAIN, this is ME personally. You have to do what you feel is right.

that is a common area to break - i did in 06 - i didn't have it treated because i thought it was just a bad bruise the bone healed horribly - once i went to the dr - i opted to not have the surgury now i wish i had they call it a 'boxer break' because it happens when you punch incorrectly - gina

That's my fear. When I hit it (or when the vacuum fell on it) it hurt worse than anything I've done in forever! And it's a bad spot, always bumping it,I did ace wrap it to help...

W/feet when I feel a lump that usually means a fracture. I'd get it checked just to be sure.

The statement of it hurting worse than anything says to me, have it checked! I have brittle bones though. Not having it checked for several weeks could lead to it healing badly which can lead to a lifetime of pain. Been there, done that. Getting it checked is totally worth the time and expense to me now.

Yeah, I'd have it checked at this point. Hands are finicky and a poorly healed fracture can cause problems for many years to come.

I'd get it checked. Sooner, just in case it is a fracture, you don't want it to start healing until it's set properly.

Thanks, may go tonight. Just always jump the gun on these things so I waited. No "obvious" signs like bone sticking out, swelling, other than light bruise and a small bump. And the fact that if I hit it I see stars..lol
