Some may remember my issues with insurance payments and my rotator cuff surgery (#3!!) We have worked that out and I am having it done Monday. I think I'm more nervous this time as I know kind of what to expect. Praying it's not to bad and I can go back to work on a week... Wish me luck!

I wish for you a successful and pain free surgery. And a very speedy recovery. I had the same surgery last year, and my mother just had rotator cuff surgery 5 weeks ago.
You said this was your 3rd time. Same shoulder? What happened if you feel like answering? I've heard of people having to have it repeated more than once, but 3 times?

I'm so sorry it's happened to you again, but I'm very glad to read you have a different surgeon and that you were able to work it out with your insurance company. It is very strange what a common procedure this surgery is becoming. I have no idea how I tore mine either. One day my right shoulder just started hurting. I thought at first I'd slept on it funny. But that hurt didn't go away, so I finally went in to get it checked. The only thing I can think I did was that I lifted a 5 gallon water jug and the water sloshed around funny and pulled my muscle a certain way. We live in an area that's not on city water and have a well-we've lived in this house for 20 years, and for 20 years I've been lifting 5 gallon water jugs, swinging them upside down and placing them on the cooler. No biggie, no problem. After my surgery I now get DH or DS (26) to do it I'll be thinking of you and sending you good thoughts! I got very good at using my left hand and still carry my purse on my left shoulder now. The nurse told me when she fitted me for my sling-"well just think of this time as a time for a chance to become ambidextrous". It helped with the frustration a bit.

Good luck with your surgery. It must be discouraging to have to go through the surgery and pain of recovery over and over again. Hope third time's a charm!
