OK- So I wish I had Annabella by my side when shopping. My niece is getting married Oct 1- and I got ordained so I could perform the ceremony! They were adorable when they asked me...will you marry us?
I am down to 2 dresses- both just above the knee (I purchased both!). Brown or navy. Most votes are for the navy and I am good with that. My issue is shoes. I have a pretty pair of bone shoes (Bandolino) with a t strap of bugle beads in a silver that is not too blingy. Wore them once- super comfortable. I have knee arthritis so a super high heel is out of the question- these are nice wedge. I am 57 and pudgy and while I think I am still 32.... I also want to look age appropriate (whatever that means) and I want to be able to dance all nite!
Bottom line- everyone says I cannot wear bone with navy. Boohoo!
Hard to find dressy navy shoes without a spike heel. Any ideas where to purchase some shoes? Or can I wear the bone with navy? They are prefect with the brown dress...but that is truly my back up. The navy pix looks blah but it fits nicely and the sleeve hangs better than the picture. I like the neckline on the navy better. thanks so much for your help!!!!

Can you post a pic of the shoes? Of course you can wear bone with navy however in this case I would lean to a dark shoe. What about something like these Navy dress. You could always change to the bone for the reception. ETA these link

The navy dress is the better of the two and I'd wear the bone shoes with it.

Both dresses are nice, is navy better with the Bride's color scheme? It's very nice. I'd never thought about appropriate dress style for someone in your position - but now that I see your choices they are perfect! Are the bone shoes wrong because they'd be a distraction? I'm sorry I'm not answering your question, hope annabella wakes up soon!

Great navy dress but I would wear a navy shoe. I think bone would detract from the dress.

I just bought this pair of navy cap toe flats. They are dressy, and extremely comfortable. You could easily go the entire night dancing in them. I'm on my way out the door to catch a plane, but check Nordstrom. I say several pairs of navy shoes there last weekend in various styles that would work for you.

I recently bought some comfortable flats for work in metallic colors, maybe they would work for you. You want something versatile that you can wear again, not in a color (navy) that is only good for that wedding. you can wear nude color shoes with anything. Zoom in and look at the insoles of these shoes, I've never seen something like this before, they are little tiny bumps inside the shoe, they are so comfortable. Just as Annabella said, you can wear bone color shoes with anything. You will look great!
ETA: I have worn navy and silver shoes in the past. Silver would look great to complement the other accessories.

annabella gave you some really nice options. I suppose it depends on whether you are more interested in 1) something that is comfy (regardless of heel height) and 2) do you want a pair specifically only for the navy dress or do you want something that you could use with other outfits, colors, etc.? Loved lots of those links posted. The navy wedges were very striking yet appropriate (but may be more limited if you don't necessarily want "navy" shoes.) And as others have said already-- nude works with everything (and will not draw attention to your feet as much as a color).

Thanks everyone! Annabella- you rock-- love the Nina jewel. I like the option of changing into the bone to dance. I added a pix of the shoes in the original post. I agree about the nude not attracting focus on my feet-- I have VERY pale legs so I thought it would be a less distracting look and a cleaner line to wear the bone. I am going to buy a pair of navy-- or even silver. My jewelry is silver. The blue works well with the bridal party and navy was the bride's first color choice for me- but she loves the brown dress too! I think I am convinced on the navy dress. Again- thanks for all of the ideas and advice!! I will try to remember to post pictures of the wedding!!
