How do you all get the gel off? Mine have to be soaked off with acetone. It takes about 20 minutes to get them off. To the OP, mine usually last two weeks, maybe a day or two longer. In the beginning, mine would only last about a week. We started using the acrylic primer on my nails first before applying the gel and it has helped. Also, if you have your hands in water often or use a lot of creams and lotions, that will make them lift. Some medications may cause lifting, too.

I go every two weeks. I use a dark blue polish so the growth at the cuticle is really noticeable. I will commonly get a chip on my index finger before the two weeks which I just file down since I don't like my nails to get long anyway. A couple of times ago, I had a really short-lived manicure (not even a week) and when I told my tech, she made the gel slightly thicker which seemed to help.

I used to have them done and mine would last 2 - 3 weeks depending on the grow out. I have very strong nails naturally and got the gel polish so that I could go chip free for a couple of weeks. The gel really does a number on them to weaken them but if you can't grow out your own nails, I highly recommend. Hmm.. Maybe I will go get them done this weekend.
