Sure do! It's my hope that small skinny stripes might distract people from the fat. I have a black and white striped tunic tee that is really comfortable. ETA: I have many pins on pinterest for said shirt because I have no fashion sense.

No. My mother was obese & always made comments about not wearing stripes. I'm 58 and not obese, however I tend to wear solid colors. I think my mother's comments tend to linger even though she is gone.
Silly isn't it?

If I was skinny enough, I would. But I don't.

That particular top ... probably not ... it looks form fitting and that just doesn't work for my body ... I do have a maxi-dress that has horizontal stripes though and I wear that thing proudly

Yes! I wear horizontal stripes, and I'm fat. I do have limits about how I decorate my big body, but I'm not afraid of stripes.

Would NEVER happen with me, flesh would be bulging out of the distressed parts!

Yes!
I love stripes.
I especially love them for pattern mixing. They're a good neutral to mix with anything.

Never. I'm not over weight, but I am bigger busted and short, stripes only makes it look worse.

I keep a blue & white striped version of that in my closet pretty much at all times - only with a 3/4 sleeve and more of a boat-neck usually. I consider that a classic wardrobe staple. I pair it with lots of other things.

I do and I'm a chunk but I don't care. I know chunky and stripes don't go but oh well

I do! I love horizontal stripes. I have three navy blue and white. Different sleeve length and neckline. Other colors too. Love them with a cardigan.

My favorite cozy shirt has black and white stripes just like that one. It's my sunday shirt which I wear with yoga pants for lounging around the house.

I don't care for the black ring around the neck, it would make me feel like the hamburglar. But yes, u do wear horizontal stripes.

I don't care for the black ring around the neck, it would make me feel like the hamburglar I usually notice stuff like this, but didn't in this case. Funny!

OK so I was thinking about this thread and sure enough, I do wear striped but I put them under a puffer vest in the winter.

Sure do.
I tend to stay away from that crew collar far more than horizontal stripes.

I have a few striped tops. I won't wear stripes on bottom.

I wear stripes, but because I'm not rail thin, I tend not to wear thick stripes unless layered under something else. I have a ton of pinstriped tees, long and short sleeved, because as someone mentioned, they're great for pattern mixing. I've found that pinstripes and low-contrast stripes (e.g. black with dark gray, as opposed to black and white) don't really read as stripe-y as high contrast stripes.
