You need to worry about your own daughter before the neighbor's. If your DD got caught with weed, deal with that. Quit spying on her and be a parent

She is being a parent, I think her surveillance is pretty smart. Her daughter got caught with weed. She said she is using TeenSafe. TeenSafe lets you see texts. So she found out about the neighbor selling pot through these texts. I don't think she is being Gladys Kravitz, she saw the texts while parenting her own daughter.

I'd be doing more than checking text messages. Harsh or not----having conversations with your children is more effective than Apps on a phone.

OP sounds like a great parent and involved with her child. It's super hard to raise kids at any time and nowadays with all the easy access, it seems harder. OP is trying hard, venting and asking questions. No need to be rude (your first comment)

It makes me laugh. My whole issue was that I feel bad for the parents next door...I feel pretty sure they don't have a clue. But, as someone stated, not my circus...

Well, its always seems to be the sheriffs kid or the ministers kid, right?
Well, my kid would not be allowed to be in the car with that kid if they neighbor kid was driving (with the possibility that they are impaired).
Also, as my DH and I have told my DS, being in the car with drugs or alcohol can make you as guilty as being the one that actually is bringing the drugs...depending on the situation he should Avoid it at all costs.
My biggest concern as mentioned in the post by mlana is the kind of customers that it would possibly be bringing to the neighborhood.

Oh DD isn't riding with anyone, other than a parent, these days!
