( examples) ...but then there are other airlines (KLM Dutch Airlines) bound and determined to go above and beyond...in the cutest way imaginable. (I just wish it was real. Still hella cute though and for one shining moment...I believed )

KLM is awesome, when you fly business class you get a ceramic Dutch house filled with alcohol (vodka?). Now that's not why they're awesome, they have great service, but it's certainly memorable.

I just heard from someone that it took them 30 hours to fly from New Mexico to Los Angeles on American Airlines. Umpteen flight delays and a night sleeping in deserted airport.

I knew it had to be an ad campaign. I have a beagle and the only way he moves that fast is if there is food left unattended. He eats faster than a speeding bullet. He is the sweetest dog but unfortunately beagles get sidetracked by food too easily to return items.

I hate KLM. We flew to France on KLM and they had squished in an extra seat in all the rows and my seat had a stump underneath the seat ahead of it so not only could I not move side to side I couldnt even move my feet out AT ALL. they had to be under my seat the entire flight. The extra seat thing was something they had done on an airline level to make more money. It was not delivered from the factory that way. Boooo.

Haha cute! WestJet does funny things all the time. They pull April Fool's jokes every year - kidless cabins, bring all animals in the cabins. But they are also a great airline that is also there for their customers and there are tons of great customer service stories. Oh sure I have a few complaints but nothing major.

KLM is awesome, when you fly business class you get a ceramic Dutch house filled with alcohol (vodka?). Those houses contain Dutch young jenever (gin) distilled by Bols Distilleries. Also, if you receive a house on a flight into Middle Eastern countries, the house will be empty and not have a stopper in the top. We have a few of those in our collection of the houses.

The Edmonton Airport has comfort dogs in their terminals. We met King, a HUGE dog who was the most docile dog I've ever met. We were having a discussion with his person about what was involved to get King certified as a comfort dog and the program is amazing. I had to laugh at one point because this scottie dog that came by with it's human was losing his poor little mind over King and while I didn't think that King would also lose his mind, I figured there would be some acknowledgement. Nope. Though I swear King looked up at me and said with his eyes"can you believe other people's children"? It was hilarious. And what an awesome program for nervous flyers.

Thanks - vodka didn't seem right.
