Has anyone done both and which would you recommend? I'm mainly selling craft supplies and a lot of it is SU. For the most part, I feel like I've been able to get good prices for what I sell on ebay (I only do buy it now). On Etsy, do you think you can get good or comparable to eBay prices? It seemed that fees were going to be a little cheaper on Etsy, but yet not on small items since the have the flat listing fee component. I made an Etsy account since I wanted to put some non-crafty vintage items out there (assuming I can part with any) but I'm wondering if I should keep adding craft items or just stick with eBay. My selling strategy for a lot of what I put on eBay is that I keep an eye on going prices if they are selling well, I list mine. There is the portion of my stash I would never get rid of, then the rest is "I would for the right price"

For SU I've always had better success with Ebay. You can always list it as a Buy It Now price and have a Best Offer option. Many people seem to go to Ebay for SU before they go to Etsy.

I've purchased SU products on eBay, but never Etsy.
There is also a "Retired Stampin Up Products for Sale" on Face Book. You can post retired products for sale and shoppers can post ISO posts.

you have a wider audience on Ebay in return for the higher fees. i do more of my craft supply buying on Ebay than i do Etsy.

Thanks! Sounds like I should stick with eBay. Maybe I'll find some non-crafty items to put on Etsy.

I probably wouldn't think to look on Etsy if I was particularly looking for SU stuff so agree sticking with EBay is the better option.

I look on Ebay first and Etsy second, but it's really because Etsy sellers tend to charge higher shipping, by a lot, and they don't have properly set combined shipping rates.

If you're looking to sell a 1 3/8 circle punch that is SU, let me know...I'm in the US and have been looking for a while (I keep losing out on the good deals on eBay). Looking to pay $12 or under shipped, so if you're selling and that's an acceptable price for you, PM me!! I don't care if it's lock or whale, just so long as it works.
