I LOVE, love, love my kids. Even though they are not perfect, they are PERFECT TO ME. They are my pride and joy and I am proud of them every single day!
One is a honor student, the other is an athlete. They are beautiful and fun to be around and I would be lost without them.

My kids are just regular old kids that drive me crazy about 50% of the time. But, I couldn't live without them.

My children are mostly obedient and full of personality!
(They also have 4 legs and fur - does that disqualify me from this thread?)

LOL...my son (18) is turning out to be a really wonderful person. He's leaving for college in 2 weeks and we are all going to miss him to pieces. My dd (14) has a heart of gold and gives me goosebumps when she sings. I can't wait to see what the next four years bring for both of them.

My beautiful DD is a straight A kid who got her first job this summer and is learning to drive. She is awesome. My DS is quiet, nerdy, and perfect!

My oldest son has really struggled with so many things, but he is so loving and caring. He is currently training a puppy and shows just how patient and kind he is to living things.
My youngest son just moved out into an apt to start his 4th year of college. He also works with disabled children and loves taking care of the kids.

I frequently get compliments on how well behaved and mannered my kids are. Guess me constantly berating them has some payoff.

I realized they drive me crazy less than 50% of the time...well, my daughter does, but she's 15, so I think that's about normal But she is an amazing soccer player who gives 110% of herself to the sport and is just a cool kid. My son is just as awesome and is growing into a great adult. Thanks for letting me share

My baby just blew her nose by herself. She's 16 months old. She also counted to three the other day ( Of course she doesn't really grasp the concept yet).
She's a friggin genius.
Except that she craps her pants and eats off the floor.
She still rocks though. I love her.

My son has grown up to be a kind and compassionate man. He will graduate from college in 2015 and my husband and I are so proud of him. He has an academic scholarship and worked his internships and other part-time jobs to help with his expenses. He is my pride and joy!

DS13 is a terrific basketball player and a fantastic big brother (most of the time) and an overall great kid. DS3 has come so far in his speech in the last 9 months, just listening to him talk is amazing, he's funny and stinkin' adorable, he still loves to snuggle, and he's at that age where my kisses make everything better.

My son, 18, who we thought was either an idiot or a fool, for the first 8 years of his life is now second in his class. He is very motivated and hilarious.

Not much to say about my oldest...you all know that story. I am grateful that he at least has a job and is going to college.
My youngest...this summer has been one filled with great growth and it's been a joy to watch. He is 14 1/2 and in Special Education (at school) with multiple delays but this Summer he flew to another state by himself to stay with my brother. He went zip linning, attempted to ski behind our boat last weekend, and has managed to stay home all day by himself without burning the house down. I'm really proud of him and the huge advancement in self management he has had the past 8 weeks.

My oldest DS has struggled the last couple of years, but it appears he's getting his act together and that makes me so happy and proud. Younger DS has autism and has accomplished so much more than so many thought was possible. He is hysterically funny and brings pure joy to our lives.

Well, my "kid" is 34 years old! She's an amazing WAH mom with six kids (one lives with his dad), runs a money-making blog, and still finds time for 4-H and raising bunnies, running marching band members around, camping, running 5Ks, and taking care of her Wounded Warrior husband.
All while dealing with Borderline Personality Disorder.
It was a very rough number of years there, but she seems to have a grasp on this life of hers now. I could not be more proud of the woman she has become.

What is a WOK mom?
Not sure if this is a typo, or an acronym that I don't know?

I have to brag about both of my kids.
My daughter, Kayli, was a problem teen and even after she graduated from high school our relationship was strained. When she told me she was pregnant at 20 years old, I worried over her being able to care for a baby. She just seemed so immature and naive about life in the real world. She moved to Nebraska with her boyfriend and I was even more worried about not only her future but that of my grandchild. She had the baby in April. His name is Lincoln Paul. I was there for his birth and just got to finally see him again since then. He is the sweetest baby ever! My brag about her is that she is turning out to be a great mother. She is a totally new person and it was a joy seeing this new side of her.
And then there is my 12 year old son, Kaleb. He is the most loving, generous, kind-hearted child I have ever known. He is my joy every single day and I pray that nothing changes with the upcoming teenage years.
And I will include my honorary son-in-law, Garrett. He has been a saint with my daughter because I know she can be hard to live with. He has stuck by her through the pregnancy and has worked 2 full time jobs most of the time to make sure they are provided for until she is ready to go to work. And even though he isn't the brightest crayon in the box, he is a wonderful daddy to Lincoln.
I wish I could share pictures but I haven't figured out how to add them on here from my computer.

My DD is almost 28 and runs a busy salon. She works long hours and loves what she does. She has given the most wonderful granddaughter!! My oldest DS is almost 26 and is working on his degree in business online. He was always shy and introverted. He now has an awesome girlfriend and works at a hotel. My youngest DS is 21 and is working at a McDonalds as he tries to figure out exactly what he wants to do.
I must have raised them right. All our smart, polite, funny and hardworking.

My dd did not make the 7th grade volleyball team, and she was devastated. She worked hard and made the 8th grade team, but didn't play much. This year as a freshman she made JV. She has worked so hard for this!
My ds is seriously just an all around good kid. He is freaky well behaved.

My daughters are pretty amazing. We've been through a lot lately. They are still the sweet and compassionate girls they were before our lives were forever changed. They have managed to keep their grades up and still have the drive to be involved in sports and other after school activities. I'm truly blessed.

My DS remembered to sweep and mop the kitchen floor today. It may not seem like a big thing to many parents, but we talked about it once yesterday and he said he would. Usually I would send him a reminder text or note, but I forgot. I was very pleasantly surprised to see a clean floor when I got home. His has a strong history of "forgetting" to do the little things we ask him to do, but lately we have seen a difference in him. Maybe he is finally growing up.
PS - I made sure I sent him a thank you text.

Although he was testing below a kindergarten level when we adopted him halfway througH 1st grade, DS is now a straight A student, member of National Honor Society and taking all AP, honors, or dual enrollment classes. More importantly, he is a caring, wonderful kid with a good head on his shoulders who thinks for himself. He is also a Third degree black belt In Tae Kwan Do and a talented actor. We are so proud.

Both of my kids are creative, but in different ways. DS can build anything with Legos. I mean, anything. He's created Star Trek ships, the Tardis, Daleks, Angry Birds, all kinds of Star Wars creatures and ships, the State of Liberty and on and on. All of this without any kind of instructions. He sees something and he can re-create it in Legos. He filmed a series of stop-motion videos with his creations that had us in stitches. He's also a whiz at Minecraft, which I barely understand.
DD, on the other hand, is artsy creative. There is no scrap of paper in our house that is free from doodling. She's recently taken up painting, both watercolors and acrylics, and is actually pretty good! For her birthday, she asked for art supplies and we were happy to oblige her. She also loves to sew and bead. Since I have no talent in those areas at all, she's teaching herself via Youtube videos. All on her own, with no prompting from us. Love this!

My DD (6 months) is clearly an over achiever....she required not one, but two, outfit changes within 15 minutes of leaving my house today. Very impressive. (Good thing she's also adorable, loves to laugh, and can charm the pants off anyone with her smile!)

I have told my younger son's story before, but I am still so very proud of him.
He was not a scholar - did as little as he could get away with at school, had no motivation, skipped school often ... You get the idea. We tried everything we could think of, sought outside help, had numerous meetings with school and teachers et
He left school as soon as he was old enough - there was no reason for him to stay. So he left with absolutely NO qualifications.
he agreed to try a couple of courses at a vocational college; courses for people like him who had no qualifications. He chose "Caring for children with disabilities". He had always enjoyed working with children at the local YMCA, it was the one one thing he had enjoyed, other than sport. He helped in school vacation programs etc.
Anyway, he did the course, then a couple of follow-on courses. He got a job at a residential facility for children with disabilities or real behavioural issues. Children are referred there by doctors and teachers, and live in for 8 weeks.
He stayed there for 10 years, getting many promotions, and ended up in quite a senior role.
Then at the age of 28 he decided he wanted to be a teacher!!!!!
So my son, who had left school with no qualifications, with seemingly no bright future, went to university, got his teaching degree, and has been teaching (grade school) for 4 years now. And very successfully - he's already gone up several pay grades because of extra work he does, and at recommendations from his principal and school board.
i am so proud of him (and yes, I make sure to tell him that I am)

I have to tell you this thread is making me feel a little choked up -- what a proud group of moms! My "kid" just graduated from law school and of course I'm incredibly proud. He's engaged to be married next year to another lawyer too! I have a lot to be grateful for.

this thread has me all choked up!
my oldest is 20 and has asperger's... he just got his associates in computer networking and is taking some additional classes before he transfers to a 4 year school next year. he works in the financial aid office and is just a super awesome kind and funny guy. my 2nd is 18 and just graduated from high school. he works in the warehouse of our local food pantry and will be joining his brother in college later this month. he has no idea what he wants to do in his life but he knows he needs to get an education regardless. we struggle a lot and they both pay some on the bills and will stop and get some groceries, put gas in our shared car, etc... and that makes me really proud - that they are contributing members of our family when so many of my friends' kids this age are just me me me.
my daughter is 12 and though i love her wiht everything i have, right now she has accused me of abuse and we are going through a nightmare custody battle. she is beyond beautiful, very talented in singing, dancing, band, and especially drawing. that kid can draw anything! i just adore her and i don't think she will ever realize that.
the love of my life is my 5 year old, he will be 6 next week. he is the most kind, empathetic and loving person i've ever known. he's so funny and so smart and just genuinely nice. i don't know many people like that.
i have 2 stepdaughters who don't talk to us and are grown with lives of their own... and a stepson who is slowly but surely making his way... 3 years ago he called me "psycho bitch" and last night when we hung up he said "i love you sheila, you're the best!"... and went from being arrested and dropping out of high school to enrolling to start college in 2 weeks. so ups and downs but all in all a pretty normal group i guess.

My soon-to-be (next week) high school Freshman just got into a special advanced program in her high school. She is also mastering marching band with pizzazz. I'm going to enjoy the last four years with her.
Her older sister, on the other hand...let's just say it's best she doesn't live at home anymore.

My 14 yr old dd spent the last two summers volunteering at a day camp for 50 hours a week for 6 weeks. Today was the last day of camp and she was offered a paying position for next year because she does such a good job. She is incredibly motivated and a very hard worker at everything does, school volunteering and hockey. If only she could clean her room and watch the sass she would be perfect.
DS 11 has an awesome sense of humour is incredibly bright and athletically talented. He is my slacker though as everything seems to come super easy. That make me worry it is going to bite him in the butt as he gets older. Today at fishing camp he caught a 6lb catfish the biggest of the week. If would pick up after himself and read something other than Sports Illustrated he too would be perfect LOL
