My DS who is 13, is an amazing kid. He's quirky and quiet and on the spectrum somewhere (testing for Fragile X right now) and he is a JOY. He cleans his room without being asked every day. He does the dishes every night without complaint. He plays WAY too many hours on his newly acquired X box (which he bought himself with saved up money) and he is very patient with his five year old sister. I just love him to bits. My DD is five going on 20. Stubborn as a bull, cheeky and sassy, talks back like no other and is not scared of anything. She is tough as nails and super duper smart, even with some issues from her birth mother. She is an amazing kid too and I love her even with all her sassiness. Even loved her the day she got sent home from school early for fighting because she was defending another child who was being picked on.

My daughter was just nominated for an Elly Award which are presented by the Sacramento Area Regional Theater Alliance! It's for her role as the evil step mother in a show called "Cinder-Allen". It's a pretty big deal in the theater community around here to get nominated and I'm SO proud of her. She's worked so hard and she's so passionate about the theater, it's so nice to have her recognized for her performance! We'll find out on 9/7 if she wins, but of course it's an honor to just be nominated.

Our 13yo is also on the spectrum. He's matured so much. He has more freedom than ever thus summer and is enjoying every minute of it. He has a heart of gold and really watches out for his siblings.
The 11yo is so self-conscious. She plays bball with some real snobs. She keeps her head in the game and bounces back so well from undeserved rejection. She's so mature compared to her peers, but wears her heart of glass on her sleeve. I adore her.
The 6.5yo got 3 stitches in his cheek this week. He cried when he got hurt but didn't shed a tear at the ER. And he always follows doctors' directions carefully. His new thing is giving me back & shoulder rubs. And he compliments me a million times a day. He's going to be a great husband someday!

My 2 year old knows all of his letters and sounds, can count to 30, recognizes numbers up to 20, knows all of his colors and shapes (including hexagons and octogons)...but can't pee on a potty to save his life. He'll get it eventually, right?!
My 3 yr old is the most creative and genuinely happy child I've ever met.
My sweet babies make me melt on a daily basis! <3

My oldest son has really struggled with so many things, but he is so loving and caring. He is currently training a puppy and shows just how patient and kind he is to living things. My youngest son just moved out into an apt to start his 4th year of college. He also works with disabled children and loves taking care of the kids. That is so awesome! My son just finished college and was working at a school part time as a yard duty. The kindergarten teachers loved the way he worked with the kids and the kids love him so much, they asked if would return this year as a para educator! It's wonderful to see your grown son working with kids isn't it?

My two are so different from each other they would never have met if they weren't brother & sister, but I am confident they will be life long friends and always be there for each other. I just had the pleasure of spending 6 days in the car with them and loved every second of it. They are teens and still struggling to find their passion and feeling the pressure of college decisions, etc., but they are bright, think for themselves and interested in making the world a better place and that makes us proud.

My kids are in the home stretch of frontal cortex development, despite occasional relapses.

Oh I love to brag about my 3 great kids! My sweet son is 26, with his own awesome family, great job and nice house. He's always been respectful to me and his stepfather, a hard-worker and doesn't have a mean bone in his body.
My 14 year old is super smart, a gifted actress and makes straight A's. She is currently representing our town as Junior Miss Enterprise, and is always herself. I love that about her! She's active in lots of school activities and loves animals.
My 13 year old is a gifted student, a cheerleader, and has also represented our town as Pre-Teen Miss Enterprise. She's goal-oriented- when she wants something she makes a detailed plan and sticks to it. I love that about her! She accepts everyone as they are, and has a wide circle of friends.
Love reading the parent brags, so nice to hear the good stuff!
