Someone help me. I have a problem with 'grab boxes'. Ugh. $70 for $19.99! Here it is if you want to take a peek.

Have they ever done a scrap box before? Must look for video first.

I had not seen one offered from them before but I've only been on their mailing list for a year or so. I just found a YT video for a $19.99 box of scrap from 2 years ago. youtu.be/uiJUgJyppyw

Thankfully I can resist because the cost of shipping to New Zealand would be prohibitive.

I buy so much stuff from Steals that I most likely already have what I want from the contents of the box! I finally got a Fuse, stocked up on WRMK and SS albums, and bought the new WRMK stapler just within the last couple of weeks! Plus Christmas Delivery and Autumn paper lines before that. No need for a scrap box here!

I wonder if all the mystery boxes are the same. I wouldn't use most of the stuff shown in the yt video. I want to know what I'm getting.

I just hope it's more updated product than depicted in the video.

I agree @juliehenry4. I didn't care for any of the papers in that video but I also kept in mind that it was 2 years ago. I'm looking forward to the box!

I received my box of scraps today. I was really looking forward to the surprise but I have to say I was disappointed. It was definitely not what I was expecting as I usually get some awesome products from scrapbooksteals.
The things I liked: six sheets of Echo Park Easter paper & a pack of wooden ATC cards from Prima.
The other items: a roll of Little B Kraft paper, 6 Echo Park Designer Dies, some wooden letters that spell EASTER. There is no way this box was worth $70 – at least not to me. Maybe some who likes dies would have been thrilled, but I don't use them.
I generally love scrapbooksteals.com and order regularly but I’m definitely avoiding mystery boxes after this one!

I'm sorry it was a disappointment but thanks for telling us about your box. I thought about buying one but I'd rather spend $20 (plus shop sales to stretch that $20) on supplies I know I'll use than get $70 worth of stuff that I might not use and might not even have any use for.

Was it 6 SETS of dies or just 6 dies across every set you got? If so, 6 sets is really worth the price even if you look at the sets at a discounted price from their retail pricing (I think Echo Park drastically overprices their dies, retail should be 2/3 or 1/2 what they sell them for considering what you get). What dies did you end up receiving? Maybe you can sell them to recoup your investment?

Bummer mayceesgranny. I also received my box yesterday. I rummaged through it quickly so I really didn't get a good handle on it yet. I will share pics of everything I received this week sometime.

I just opened mine and was satisfied.
I got: 1 WRMK 6x6 leather album 1 pkg of prima wooden artist trading cards 3 full echo park die sets. I don't own a die cutter so I'll put them on eBay. But still a great value 20 pieces of random papers 1 Teresa Collins family history mix kit which I'll admit to almost buying several times!
So yeah not the most thrilling box but for $20 or whatever I paid I'll get use out of it.

But still a great value 20 pieces of random papers 1 Teresa Collins family history mix kit which I'll admit to almost buying several times! So yeah not the most thrilling box but for $20 or whatever I paid I'll get use out of it. As someone who is currently obsessed with the 6x6 albums (even though I now have several thanks to Steals and going to the AC warehouse sale 2 weeks after ordering from Steals) I am kind of jealous of that one, lol. Don't ask me why, but I am. The downside is that the warehouse sale didn't have the PP (on order but they are last in the pecking order of shipping from AC so they never know when they'll get stuff in) so I was only able to grab the albums and no refills. The dies are great...I find it funny how many people are getting them. Echo Park really needs to see the light and realize they are drastically overpricing their dies for what you get. I think the MSRP should be 25-50% (depending on the set) of what they charge and the prices continue to go up while the number of dies continues to decrease. For instance, who is going to pay around $20 for a single dinosaur die when the line has like 10 different dies? Why not do one or two sets for about $25-$30? Less inventory to track because it's a bundle and it will increase the likelihood of people buying them. They used to be decently priced. I have the ampersand and viewfinder die from when they first started making them and I think that retailed for $9.99...it would probably be $20 for that now.
