I went to the site as I did almost daily and saw the message that it was closing. I was shocked and in mourning, thinking how can this be? About a week or so later, someone I didn't even know sent me an invite to this site. I was so happy!!! Thanks whoever you were!

I normally checked the boards before work, at my lunch break, and in the evening, and that day was no different.
Because of the time difference, my morning browsing was before they locked the boards, so everything was normal. When I logged on at lunch, hardly anything had changed - I just thought it was a super slow day, as there was no announcement yet.
By chance I happened to check Facebook when I was on my train home - don't normally do that. It was blowing up with Peas posting about the closure. By the time I got home a FB group had been set up, then a Reddit page, and I joined both of those then jumped straight onto here as soon as it was set up.

I found out through a private message from another member. I was sending her a RAK for a sewing project that had been mentioned on the site.

Normal day for me. Started to log in and the forum was closed with the big we quit message. I was devastated. I started crying. I took it pretty hard. I have been a Pea since AOL days. The shock of the closing was not surprising but still it was. If that makes sense. I had two screen names then because I stupidly lost my first one. Two Peas was the longest forum I have ever been on. I am grateful this forum was started.

I was on vacation, headed to the Grand Canyon, and had told my husband about the multi page thread about the song "Two Wooden Crosses," because he likes that song. He asked for an update a few hours later, and that's when I found out.Two days later, I found this site. I think I was also directed here by a Reddit thread.

I had taken a break from scrapbooking and hadn't visited in a while. This summer I got back on track and went looking for it, I was shocked that it took me years to find out. I didn't realized how long I had been gone. I'm glad I googled and found this site.

I was helping a woman with a Disney project. We were emailing back and forth and then that was it. I will never know if she finished the project.

I was at home with my DD and would check in a few times a day. I was getting ready to head out of town for my friend's retreat later that week. I don't know if I went to the message board first or if I saw the email first, but another Pea PMed me and told me about this place and I jumped right over without really missing a beat. The gallery there was pretty awesome, but this forum is so, so, so much better because we can talk about whatever we want here including all sorts of sources for where to find stuff.

I was at work and opened the website while at lunch. Within an hour, I found this message board.
