It was June 25, 2014.
I remember because that is my dad's birthday. I was home from work because I was feeling soooo sick. Around 12 or 1pm, I checked my email on my phone. There it was, the big announcement. I checked the message boards and saw nothing was going on (they were locked). I felt too sick to do anything more than that. My head was pounding.
Despite it's imperfections, I never had bad customer service in the store, and it was the prettiest papercrafting website, in my opinion. The gallery was my favorite.
RIP Two Peas.

That's funny, I always remember it because it was my sister's birthday. I was doing my first Facebook check-in of the day and I'm part of a group who are all Peas and former Peas. So that was how I found out, and then found out almost immediately that another board was being set up. So it was a smooth transition for me!

The night before, I had posted on the LAST thread that had popped to the top JUST before shutdown. Shortly after shutdown, I came home for lunch. I found out on my other 2 peas spinoff message board that 2 peas was down for good.
Boy oh boy, do I miss the gallery, it was full of wonderful cards and projects.

I had a link saved for the message boards so never went via the main page. I remember thinking the board was unusually slow as there were quite a few threads on the front page I had already read. I came back either later that day or the next day and realised nothing had been posted so started clicking around the site and found the closure message. It was a run of the mill day for me.
I found the reddit thread that got me here and signed up a couple of days after these boards were created. I am very grateful for the fairy podmother being so quick to act and for all the peas who are apparently pretty good at regrouping quickly.
I still miss the gallery, partly because I had so many years of projects there. There were so many wonderful and inspiring projects posted.

I found out by trying to log onto the message boards that day and seeing the closing message.
I'll admit, I was a bit freaked out. I quickly made accounts at a couple other scrapbooking message boards, and my first posts were asking where have all the peas gone. Some wonderful pea took pity on me and sent me the link to this place. All in all, I was back with the peas within a day and a half or so, but for awhile there, it was scary.

I can't remember exactly where I was but I remember feeling so shocked and sad. I was an early member and watched it grow from something small to basically taking over the scrapbook world. I like many stopped scrapbooking for awhile but when I came back to it, first place I went...Two Peas.
I miss the garden girls and all of the wonderful ideas over the years. I miss being able to look at all of the layouts I was saving to scrap lift at a later date. I just miss it and always wonder why they couldn't keep the forums going at least.

I was sitting at my dining room table going through email on my laptop. That's when I read the email about the closing of Two Peas. I also miss the Garden Girls. They were a great inspiration. It was nice that there was a group of them all in one spot. I don't really like jumping from blog to blog, pin board to pin board, you tuber to you tuber. I miss the CHA videos highlighting new products. Unfortunately, I can not remember the young woman's name who produced those videos but they were the best. She would take the items and slowly pan over the item and you could get a pretty good look at it. She would also go through each piece of paper in a collection. I also miss the Warehouse Walk videos. ETA: I just read another thread (If you could bring back one thing...) Delta Dawn reminded me that the woman who did the CHA videos was Jamie!

I don't remember where I was, but I was looking for something I was going to buy and when I logged on to the website the closing message popped up. I was so sad; it was message boards that took my papercrafting to the next level. Between CK and 2P's closing I felt lost (by then I had already stopped visiting SC on a regular basis).

I was at work. I had posted something during my morning break and then checked on the thread at lunch time. It hadn't moved. And then I was very very sad.

I was on a scrapbooking hiatus but remember receiving the email. I wasn't an avid pea because honestly the message boards scared me. I was afraid to post anything because there seemed to be so much drama and I was always afraid to ask a question that someone thought may have been stupid, lol. I LOVED the gallery though and the store! The gallery was full of inspiration and ideas!

I kept logging on, wondering why I couldn't open threads or anything. I finally noticed the message at the top of the page and was shocked that they closed the message boards without warning. Thankfully I found this place a day or so later!

Thankfully I found this place a day or so later! I had the same experience. I Googled 2 Peas and found the Refupeas. What a relief! I was seriously grieving the loss of my Peaps.

I logged in to check in with the Chatty Scrappers (originally Calendar Girls) and couldn't get in. Then I read the notice. I was just sick. I couldn't believe I was losing contact with all those wonderful friends. They moved on to a Facebook page, but I'm not on Facebook. I have found some here, and some at Scrapbook.com and Pinterest so I can still keep in touch a bit. I miss that site so much. I loved spending hours going through the gallery. I learned so much on the message boards and the free classes. I'm so glad someone started this site. I love it too. Thank you admin!

It was the day before my birthday that they sent out the email that they were closing down and having a clearance sale. I was sad to see them close down, although it wasn't totally unexpected. I learned about scrapbooking through Two Peas and it was my favorite scrappy site for years, so it felt like my true scrapbooking home on the internet. I loved all their fun events and challenges. But the last year before they closed it was impossible to shop with them. Crazy international shipping rates, never enough stock of anything, it seemed to be random, clearly they had cash flow problems. I had already moved on to ACOT and Blue Moon scrapbooking stores at least one year before Two Peas folded. Well before they closed down, I had found my way to another online forum and then I did immediately register for this place, so I didn't miss the message boards, but I did save a lot of informative threads, videos and other good stuff before they closed down the site. The gallery was amazing! Such a pity they didn't keep it online. But most of the old videos are still up on YouTube! Watching a warehouse walk video with sweet Jamie Sorensen takes me right back to 'the good old days'. This one made me buy all those Pink Paislee collections. And the Artisan Elements. Still have them in my stash.

I don't know where I was - I used to get on the boards several times a day. I got on and the boards were locked. I was panicked. Not gonna lie. I started looking for other message boards. I found one and someone posted that she knew about this board. She sent me a pm. I guess it was probably a few hours after I discovered 2 peas was locked. I was so happy and I don't know why it took so long to find it but I was amazed how many people had already found this without the two peas boards to tell us all where to find each other.

I think I got the email about the closing. Don't remember exactly. I was more a lurker on the old board because I'd seen a few scary incidents Managed to find my way here through googling. I know there were a few places trying to attract all the refupeas at the time.

i only checked the scrapping board every few day. I was actually at another site and someone posted that 2P had closed all their forums. I guess I wasn't really surprise considering the lack of inventory in their store and that many long time posters had bailed. It still irritates me that they shut them down without warning. 2P was my first scrapping related board and I was sad to see it go. I found this one pretty quickly though so all's good.

I still miss the gallery, partly because I had so many years of projects there. I saw a layout at Scrapbook.com that I thought was cute, then noticed it was made by you. It made me laugh because I could relate, it was something about you took your son to a farm but all he cared about was eating some chips he had seen on the counter. As for Two Peas, I remember coming home from work and sitting down with my snack ready to read and then seeing the message they closed and being bummed. Thankfully I had bookmarked another site where I knew Peas posted and somebody gave a link to here.

I was in Colorado Springs, visiting from Maryland. My daughter, who also had a Two Peas profile and participated on the swap boards mostly, and I were spending a few days visiting the area before she entered BCT at USAFA. The announcement came through the day before I dropped her off. I definitely had a sense that things weren't going well before that time, but I remember our shock over the announcement. Although I was mostly a lurker the 12+ years I was a member, Two Peas was a big part of my hobby life. We still miss it.

I don't remember where I was but I was so shocked. It was a place I visited a couple times a day. It took me awhile before I found this board.
I miss the gallery so much. It really made my scrapbooking a whole lot different than what I started out as. It was so different from any other gallery and the amount of people who posted layouts on it...holy cow!...nothing else like it!

It was a normal day for me. When I checked my email, I was so shocked. When I went to the boards, I was a bit freaked. Then I was sad. After a couple of days, I received a message from another pea about this board being started and came right over. Thanks, admin!

I think I learned by seeing the announcement on Scrapbook Update. Like others have said, I was a lurker on the boards, but loved the gallery and the store. I spent several days saving things from the gallery that I wanted to keep.

I was actually ON the two peas NSBR board perusing threads. I was reading a thread and went to click to the next page and it just stopped working. If I remember correctly, the message wasn't up immediately and it was some sort of error message.

I only remember it was summer 2014. I went to the 2 peas site to go to the message boards and saw they were shut down. I wasn't surprised in the least 2 peas was closing. The store got smaller and smaller. I was was kind of irritated about no notice on the boards, but I honestly can't blame the owners. NSBR gave them more trouble than it was worth. I think it was a big old FU! to some of the peas that caused them a lot of grief. Like when the "secret" board was found for certain members and some Garden Girls were making fun of NSBR and I remember there was one specific pea they named or alluded to as well. Of course those comments got copied and pasted.
