DD needs to make 60 swaps for a camp soon. The only requirement is that it has to have a safety pin. I looked at Pinterest and my brain just kind of shut down.
Any suggestions for something simple/cute? I'm wanting to make just one trip to a craft store lol.
*edited to add - She's almost 11 and I'm hoping she will do most of it herself. We don't have to follow a theme. I don't have a die cutting machine.

I was going to suggest Pinterest. What is the theme of the camp? We usually took our inspiration from there. Do you have access to a die cut machine? Those help make the cutting go faster. How old is your DD? Do you expect her to do the work, are you doing it, or is the entire troop making 60 SWAPS?

What is theme and age involved? There are good swap groups on FB for ideas, better than Pinterest as it's easy to get direction. The safety pin is an attachment not a part of usually. Little baggies often contain a craft with the pin through a corner.

In the past, when I had troops, I ordered from Making Friends. Here is a $14.99 kit for 50 s'mores swaps: Smores Swaps

sleeping bags.. rolls of two pieces of felt, tie with brown strings on each end.. done. swaps are voluntary.. if she wants to skip..feel free. I was a girl girl scout for 10 yrs and never did swaps..

Oh my 7 year old did this last year and came home with some really cute pins. Her troop did something with beads but one of my favorites was a set of cherries a troop made with red pom poms and twisted green pipe cleaner.

One year DGD did a swap that used beads and pins. Another year we made oreo cookies with fun foam and felt. You don't need a die cut machine; the possibilities are endless. There is usually a theme to follow, too.

Beads hanging from the pin are easy. We did that one year. Another year we did something with felt and glue and I thought it was awful because glue sticks to girls' fingers and then the felt sticks to the fingers.

When we use to do swaps, I cheated a few times. If you go on ebay you can get bulk swaps that just need to be assembled. It was cost effective, as in, no waste from guessing. It was easy and stress free.
