Do you have some special storage that you use? Did you create something?
I'm looking for something to put in my closet. Yes, I have too many handbags... and I will sort through them and keep only the one's I want, but I really want to finally have some type of organizational thingy to store them.
Any ideas? Pictures welcome!

I recently got rid off quite a few of them but I hang them in my closet on a heavy duty hanger.I just put the handle or strap over the hanger thingy and hang them that way. Works for me!

Well, let me first say, I don't own any expensive purses. And I own only 5 or 6 total. Then let me embarrass myself and admit that other than the one currently in use, I stick all the other bags in a box and slide it under my bed.

That is a great idea! Especially because DH will not look there and see how many I have! LOL!

I have 4 nice purses. The 3 that I am not using came with felt bags. I put them in their bag and put them on the shelf in my closet. I got rid of all my cheap purses but I used to just shove them anywhere in my closet they would fit!

I just have mine hanging on hooks in a downstairs closet. I have four designer bags and one everyday one.

Haha, I carry one purse until it falls apart or I get tired of it, then I buy a new one and toss the old one. I'm clearly not the type of person you are looking for!

All my bags are stuffed to keep their shape and stored in their dust bags on shelves in my closet. The exception are my Hermes bags, which are stuffed, in their dust bags and in their original boxes. Yes, I have a bit of a problem

On shelves in my walk in wardrobe in the bags that came with them, or that I've made to keep dust etc off.

I store all of my purses in a little bag...each one has its own bag. Keeps the dust off of them.

Bags not currently in use are stored on shelves, stuffed with cloth, in their dust bags. I have several investment bags - and keep them protected until use.

I got rid of all of my old purses except for one last year. I bought a few good quality purses and they each came with a storage bag. I just put them in their bag and place them on the shelf in my cupboard.

I have a wire shelving system in my closet. I store my purses there. Since I frequently change my purses I have to store them so that I can access them easily. Remember, your clothes may not always fit, but your purses always fit. So, have fun w/them.

Bags not currently in use are stored on shelves, stuffed with cloth, in their dust bags. I do that, too. But I only keep 4-5 handbags in rotation at any time. I use them seasonally, I suppose. Right now I have pink for summer, ochre for fall, a snakeskin print for winter, and a watermelon red for spring. (I'm a Kate Spade girl.) Those, and a few special bags like a couple of crossbodies for travel and clutches for dressy wear, are the extent of my handbag collection right now.

I use those white plastic stick on hooks along my closet wall. But a lot of closets don't have a bare wall to do this with.

Although I do have a second one, a very small pouch thing on a long strap -- I use it when I go to holiday parties or things at dh's work, where I only need ID, tissues, brush and phone. That one just hangs on a hook in the closet.

I have a total of five and they go under my bed in a basket. I rarely use different ones.

I will fully admit I am a Coach, Kate Spade whore with a few Michael Kors thrown in for good measure. One of my closets has a very deep top shelf that runs the length and that's where all of mine are lined up. I have a canvas cube on on end that has all my wallets and wristlets. I pulled them all down about a month ago to dust them off and see if there were any I was ready to get rid of, and was ashamed when I counted.

I have a small reach in closet and I tucked a small bookshelf in one side, perpendicular to the hanging bar in the recess. I store mine on one shelf of that bookcase and use the other shelves for accessories.

My nicer purses are in their dust bags in a dresser drawer in the guest room. My tote bags are hanging from shower hooks in the guest room closet.

I only have 4 or 5 and don't switch very often. I keep mine in my suitcase. When I need my suitcase, I throw the purses on the bed until I get back home.

I'll make you feel better - I own ONE handbag (which badly needs replacing) and it's from WM. I keep thinking about getting a couple of (slightly) nicer handbags - maybe a summer and winter one - but...

I'm no help in that I just have mine lined up (sometimes piled up) on a shelf in my coat closet. I don't have expensive bags. Function is far more important to me than style in a handbag.
