I bought some nice metal shower curtain hooks and hang my purses in a closet.

Tissue paper inside to keep the shape, then I use dust coverbags (like a pillowcase with a drawstring) and I have a special shelf at the top of my walk in closet that goes all the way around on 3 sides that I stand them up on.

I have 2 large Rubbermaid totes on a shelf in my closet for regular sized bags. My crossbody bags are hung on belt hooks in my closet

I don't have a lot and I only use small ones, so I keep them in a drawer.
If I had bigger ones, I would use a hanging sweater organizer (the kind that look like hanging shelves).

I only have a few bags, and nothing very expensive now... I hang them in my closet from a handbag organizer similar to this: Handbag Hangup It has fabric loops to put the handles thru, and the fabric loops are held by velcro

I have a section in my closet with shelves built just for them. They're like little cubes/cubbies and I store my bags in their dust covers one per cubby (cubbie?).
