I got married in July and put together a quick photobook for my mother in law and aunty using about 45 photos. But now, I would like to make a 12 x 12 scrapbook. I have bought some wedding papers form different collections but of course don't have enough of one particular one to do an entire album We got married in Fiji so I will do a few layouts using the beach wedding paper and embellishments and put them in the holiday album. For the main album I'm thinking of using a kraft background and several cardstock colours, maybe white, green, blue? Our photos range from beach- blues/sand, garden- green, green and green! we also have some beautiful sunset shots which range from orange/pink/purple. I do have some lovely stampin up stamps and dies of tropical type flowers so I am contemplating using these along with some silhouette cut flowers for embellishments. Then I thought of using quotes on each page printed in a die cut shape , or possible one word/phrase die cut across page? Does anybody have any links to any wedding pages or albums? Or quotes or phrases? Most of the photos are of the two of us as we eloped. And we are in our 50's, been together for 24 years. ( just to put it into context- "We've only just begun" might not be as relevant!! All suggestions very welcome. Thanks Corinne

Wedding layouts on PinterestWhen I made a wedding album, I made sure that I had some elements repeat throughout the album (like a certain pattern of washi tape or a small stamped image that you could add to tags, journaling spots, etc. But i also used whatever embellishments that I loved. Don't feel too boxed in just using a certain color cardstock, or just one wedding line. It's fine if some pages stand alone, outside of a color scheme. And like I said, just pull it all together with a repeating element. And congratulations again!!

I have made wedding albums for others. THe only thing that I consistently used on a majority of pages was one of their wedding colors. I used a fair amount of black and white, but also some wedding color. I have noticed that Michaels has several of their pads that would work well with weddings. The papers don't all match, but you can tell they are of a wedding theme.

Thanks for your replies. I think I will stick with the kraft background and choose a few patterned papers that work well together and co-ordinate with flowers. I like the idea of a matching element throughout, just have to decide what is shall be. Thanks for the link to the pinterest board. I had searched only for tropical wedding layouts, but of course I can still use the ideas just change up the colours and embellishments to match my tropical theme. And there were lots of simple titles there that I really liked. Give me 6 months and I'll come back and post what I've done! Thank you! Corinne

Congratulations, corinne11. I think using the same kraft background will go a long way towards making it feel unified. I can't wait to see it!

I got married a week ago and hadn't even thought about our wedding album! Our photographer is making a leather bound photo album/book with all of our portraits so my personal album will be more personal stories for future generations--hopefully we get that. (A child together).

Congrats to you, my recommendation is not to rush it. take your time finding a line you fall in love with and can get enough off. Good luck!
