Or a kit or a 6x6 paper pad or a 12x12 paper pad?
I had a thought this morning as I took a quick glance at my scrap table. I have a Maggie Holmes Bloom paper pad with Thickers and a sticker sheet. I also have a Pink Paislee C'est La Vie collection that I got from Scrapbook Steals. There are 16 sheets of paper and 6 packages of embellishments. All of it is untouched and I was wondering how many layouts I could make with them. Have you ever kept track of how many layouts you've made with certain purchases?

I made a vacation album with a DCWV paper pad, a package of various neutral-toned tags by Recollections, some letter stickers and a roll of thin ribbon.
I still have a lot of that paper pad left over. I fussy-cut embellishments from the patterned papers. I was away from home and wanted to get it done in a hurry. I love the album! The papers had enough variety to work with different themes, but they coordinated enough to lend real unity to the album.

My friend and I made 5 double page layouts with twelve sheets of paper and a page of embellishments. We used colored card stock for the base though. Whenever I buy paper (for a double layout) I always buy a total of 5 sheets if I won't use a card stock base. I like pattern and layering.

Don't know exactly but I'm guessing I could make at least 15-20 layouts? I'd probably get bored with a collection before I managed to use it up.

I still have some of it left and I probably made at least 30 pages, if not 40. I like this for theme albums. However, if I worked with 1 collection until it was done with everyday photos, I'd be bored. I don't know if I'm organized enough to keep track if I just use it like normal. Maybe with a large post it note in the collection pack and by using hashtags when a layout is complete. It would be interesting to find out.

I get bored with the same supplies and I don't like to see a lot of repetition in my albums. I'll use a collection or a paper pad for a few layouts and then put it away for a while. I was thinking the same thing about a post it not in the collection or on a paper pad.

I did shimelle's original perfect collection (?) class, using an echo park collection kit. I know I made at least 20 pages from it, but I scrap 8.5x11, so even using pp for a background left me scraps to work with. I did have paper left over and definitely stickers too. I can't remember what else I used for embellishment. anyway, I loved that class. maybe it would work for you too OP

Well, I never can seem to use up those pads and collections.
I'm betting lots and lots of layouts with any pads.

I made 6 layouts with a mini kit this weekend. It was an old My Mind's eye line from 2014 called Now and Then, Dorothy. I had 7 sheets of 12x12 paper, a pack of flair, a pack of ephemera, and a set of chipboard stickers. I added 3 pieces of white cardstock. I have used all the paper, but I still have flair and ephemera left which will go into mu stash.

I have no idea. I made 12 two-page LOs, 2 one-page LOS (all 12x12, and 1 single page 8x11 LO with an old making Memories collections years ago, but never since have I sat down and plowed through a collection like that. And that was so long ago that I don't even know if the quantity involved in that collection is equal to the quantity you get in a collection these days.

Definitely take Shimelle's The Perfect Collection class! It is one of my favorites! I think I remember she made twelve layouts from a collection pack plus you will get so many good ideas and a cutting guide also.

Every time I see this thread it makes me want to give it a try again. I remember using a Capture Life collection pack up until I couldn't do anymore. No idea how many layouts I did, but I remember how fun it was to keep track and try to squeeze more out.
I also remember making a large (Iris container size)DIY kit and setting a goal of completing 50 layouts before I moved on. I did the fifty and that kit is still loaded and I still love it! I think it had something to do with the happy colors, awesome yellow thickers and that I was working on Disney albums. It has some Disney embellishments in the kit, but it had very little Disney product in it. Makes me want to work from the kit now!
I'm starting a project, so I don't think I'll have a chance to try it right now. If I do I'll let you know. Hope to see others progress!

Today, when I was looking for something completely different, I came across a 2012 Pebbles collection called Love You More. The more I looked at it, I realized that I'd like to see how many pages I could get out of it.
It has 12 doubled sided patterned papers, a pack of Kensie thickers that are gray, a pack of mini ABC tile letters and a pack of stickers that are 6x12 with two sides. At some point I had added 2 pieces of aqua and 2 pieces pale pink cardstock to match. I will add white cardstock, also.
My goal is to finish the layouts by Sunday, giving myself a full week. I'll be making 12x12, 5.5x8.5 and 6x8 or 8x8 pages so it should make a ton. With extra cardstock I'll try for 24 layouts.
Sometimes you need a good challenge...thanks!

iheartpaper, please come back and let us know your end result. What a great way to challenge yourself and use your stash! So far I stretched the paper and put pictures with each of the 24 pages. I have a small pile of happy scraps to diecut and layer. I think I'll work on the diecuts now before I forget my plans. I need to divide up the stickers so they'll go far, also. I'm excited about the progress and starting the layouts!

I'm half way to completing the 24 layouts!
Because I am working on a 12x12 album and three 5.5x8.5 albums for my sister and her kids, I started with those pages first before I start to run low on embellishments and thickers. Working on the smaller pages has really helped the kit go far.
I've finished the nine 5.5x8.5 pages and three of the 12x12 pages I chose for their albums. I still have two 12x12's and two 6x12's to finish for my sisters album. Then I'll move on to my family's eight pages. Luckily I printed out pictures of us in the rain at the twins stadium because I fussy cut umbrellas and diecut clouds so I'd be able to stretch the kit.
Thanks to the Tuesday Morning price tag, I know I got this kit in the fall of 2014 for $3.99. If someone was on a really tight budget, and didn't have the quantity of supplies that some of us do, this would be a really nice way to get tons done! I have only added cardstock and adhesive. When the layouts are all done I'll sew on them all, so thread, too. I'm not bored yet because it's a challenge.
I'll be back to let you know when I've finished!

The layouts are done. I took a picture of what was left and the stack of layouts. I still need to sew them, but wanted to take pictures before I lose the light. I used all but a few border strips, a piece of patterned paper that is 3.5x5, a bunch of the stickers, fussy cut umbrellas and the diecut hearts and clouds. There are a couple of vowels left on the thickers so I might get a title out of them. I was disappointed that I only used the tile alphas once, but I couldn't make them work. I usually use more layers and embellishments, so these layouts are cute, but much more basic than I normally would do and took a lot less time than normal. It was fun doing this, but I'm really happy that I have a ginormous stash to work with and that I can use anything and everything I'd like to! www.scrapbook.com/myplace/index.php?mod=galleries&u=1272275&m=view&id=5759369&type=-1&size=0 Off to sew...

After completing the 24 layouts, sewing and getting them in the albums, I couldn't seem to scrapbook. I finished the challenge on Wednesday and I finally was able to be creative again today, Sunday. I guess I go in spurts!
While prepping pages to scrap today, I couldn't help but use up some more of the collection. I added two pieces of patterned paper (that read more like backgrounds) and was able to make two layouts for my moms album that were complete with titles done with that same set of Thickers. A package of thickers really can go far! I also added six embellishments with ones from the collection.
I hope you give this challenge a go.
