We want to become snowbirds Would love to be in Sarasota or Largo area We would like to rent then buy All the parks I look at the monthly fees are over 500/month This seems like a lot especially if we are not using it for 6 months of the year Any suggestions where to look or great parks or any info would be appreciated I am thinking renting would be the way to start But everything seems to be booked year after year . Looking for any good leads!

I would call a local real estate office and ask them for help. They should be able to direct you to an agency, if they don't handle rentals. I think it's a good idea to rent in a couple areas first.
Just my opinion!

I've looked into here in CA and $500 space rent is about as low as you'll find it here but I doubt you can find places that will let you only rent for 6 months at a time, especially with such high demand. Good luck on your hunt though.
