My husband bought a ravioli lasagna meal at Costco a few weeks back. He put it in the freezer when he got home and I wanted to have it for dinner tonight.
While the baking instructions are on the container, it doesn't state if it should be baked frozen or defrosted. If it doesn't say so, I would think logically it would be baked in the condition that it was purchased in but I don't know if it came home frozen or not.
It is in a heavy-duty foil baking dish, is around 12 by 7 inches and I believe it says to bake at 350 covered in foil for 60 to 70 minutes. Any guesses or if you have had this before I would appreciate the heads up on baking frozen or defrosted. Thanks so much.

I'd start with the directions on the package, and then if not's done/hot enough, I'd add more time with frequent checks. eta: you'll have to give us your review on how it was

Those are in the refrigerated section (not frozen) at Costco.
I'd just bake it a little longer than the instructions say.

If it looks like the staff assembled it, I would guess it was in the open refrigerators by meat and nothing over there is frozen.

Well, I'm finding out the hard way. I've cooked it for 65 of the 60 to 70 minutes and a huge portion of the center is still frozen solid. Looks like dinner is going to be very late. I imagine this means the outer edges will be over cooked:(

That is supposed to be cooked from the refrigerator, not the freezer. You should defrost it in the fridge for a couple of nights and then cook it. It will take a *lot* longer to cook if it is frozen when you start -- those suckers are bigger/thicker than they look.
ETA: Aw, shoot, I was posting at the same time as you! I'm sorry I didn't get home sooner!

Ugh! I've done that before with meals I've frozen myself. They take A LONG TIME to bake from frozen. I'd try to pop it out of the foil pan & into a glass pan & microwave it to thaw then back in the oven to bake.

I have cooked several Costco refrigerated meals from frozen all of the time. I just up the temp by about 25 degrees and add about 10 minutes. I never defrost pasta dishes, they go soggy.

Thanks everyone. I ended up baking it about 90 minutes and then microwaving individual servings for 30 seconds.
This dish was very tasty but also very high in fat. A special treat type dinner.

In general - it is really hard to cook frozen food like casseroles etc. best way if it is frozen is to warm it up in the microwave then cook.
Even if things are in the fridge, it's best to let it come to room temperature before baking.
