I have an old tom cat that gets absolutely annoyed when I run the vacuum. He's not afraid of it, but I'm guessing the sound gets on his nerves. Anytime I start vacuuming in the room he's sleeping in, I get the stink eye and he slowly an annoyedly leaves the room to go sleep somewhere else. Poor, mistreated kitty.

Mabel wants the spot on my lap at bedtime. She stands near the pillow and looks disgruntled if this doesn't occur in a timely manner.

Clearly you're not moving quick enough Sharla! My doxie always steals my spot on the couch when I get up to use the restroom or get a snack! She is annoyed when I move her out of my spot upon my return.

All the time, but it is mostly the Whippet. I travel for work and when I am gone for a day or two, he ignores me when I come home. Then he will turn his back on me and bark.

I have an old tom cat who gets very annoyed when I talk to anyone other than him. He'll come up and head bump me and meow. He's my silly old bear of a cat. DSO calls him my furry, angry baby. LOL!

Our kitty just got fixed yesterday so she's isolated in my dd's room so she won't run and play with the other cats. She is NOT happy right now. She's very social and does not like being by herself.
Our big furry Maine Coon yells when he sees white at the bottom of his bowl. He panics! He must have a full food bowl at all times that spoiled brat.

He will come and get me to refill it. He has even woken me up in the night by standing next to me and tapping my cheek. When I open my eyes, instead of putting his head down and purring to be scratched, he gives me a major panic-sounding meow. Then he paces back and forth down the bed until I get up. When I stand, he runs from my feet to the bowl, looking in it and at me and meowing. There is no way to mistake what he wants when he wants something. He's this way with everything, but the most adamant with his food bowl. He will also do this if one of the other cats is in "his" spot on the cat tree. He outweighs both of his sister siblings, but he is just a big fluffy pushover and will come complain to me rather than push his sister out of his spot.

I would be highly annoyed too if you started vacuuming in the room I was sleeping in. My dog gets annoyed sometimes when I try to cuddle and talk to her. I can see an attitude starting and she lifts her nose in the air and turns her head away from me and will not move until I walk away from her.

Sometimes my dog gets annoyed when I pet the cat. She comes over and snouts my hand away and then flips my hand onto HER back. Jealous brat.
She also barks and anyone who has the temerity to kiss or hug me. Apparently, I am hers, and hers alone.

My fat cat just pushes the food tray into the middle of the kitchen and the sits in it until I take the hint. This is also the same cat that when I have to go somewhere, gets mad and hides. The length of hiding time is directly proportional to the time I have been gone...one time we were at the beach for six days. He hid for at LEAST 18 hours. I must have come out to eat while I wasn't looking because food was disappearing, but I couldn't find him to save my life. The other cat doesn't get annoyed with me in as much as his constant meowing and whining annoys ME. LOL

My cat gives me a very hard time when I go away for any length of time. He sits next to me on the next chair, looking the other way pointedly 'ignoring ' me! It takes him a couple of days usually to get over it!

Yes, when Dh does not go to bed on schedule at 9:30 (when he works). Duke-the older black lab-starts pacing the hallway. If he gets annoyed or impatient he'll put himself in his kennel and wait for DH. He also has his spot on the end of the sofa, and gets annoyed if someones in it. He's our Sheldon dog!

My dog is VERY jealous when we give affection to the cats. She looks like her heart is broken.
I also have a cat that literally frowns. He gets annoyed if there isn't an open lap and will stand and stare at us, frowning. Only one of our two cats will sleep with us, and she gets annoyed and anxious if we stay up late. Also, right around her time for eating she'll start following us around and then running to her bowl to let us know that it needs filling.

We only have one old, fat ginger cat. She will only drink out of ceramic bowls and she has a favorite. When it runs out of water she will put her two front paws in it and scoot it (we have wood floors) to whatever room i am in and stand there looking at me until I get the hint. No meows usually. Just the stare.
This is the same cat that I posted in another thread will wake me up and MEOW loudly in my face if I don't bring her to bed and tuck her in next to me.

Oh yes. My cat Smudge hates it when I talk on the phone. She will come up and swat at it, swish her tail and meow. Eventually it escalates to her making really unhappy, loud meows and she runs from the room.

I blame my inlaws! When we went away two years ago, they came to stay with her. Dog biscuits were never a regular thing in our house, but MIL bought them and, from the way she behaved after we got home, apparently gave one to her every time she was a good girl and did her thing outside! LOL Fast forward to this May, and again, for two weeks, my inlaws spoiled her rotten. Now, every morning, when I get up, she runs down to the kitchen and sits by the fridge, waiting for her cookie. (they sit on the counter beside the fridge) She will even go so far as to scratch at the fridge if we ignore her. If I don't give in right away, and head to my office and sit at the computer, she will come to the office and watch me. She will not sit still, and when I finally talk to her, she'll come over and practically climb into my lap. So when I turn away from the desk, she bounds up and to the fridge for her cookie. Sometimes she's just fun to mess with...LOL

I started giving my maltese wet food before he crossed over the bridge, he didn't have many teeth left and it was the only food he could eat. Of course Holly and Abby had to have a bowl too. Once I lost Bailey, I thought I could stop with the wet food. Wrong!!!! Holly was so used to her once a day wet food, at EXACTLY 2:00 pm, every.single.day, she comes up to me and starts talking and telling me she wants to be fed. Holly is 14, blind and sleeps pretty much all the time. But come 2, she is right there at my feet asking for food. It's like she has this built in alarm clock. Once she eats, off she trots back to bed!

Mine are annoyed right now. I've been cleaning the basement today and wouldn't let them down there with me. Now I'm getting the silent treatment and they're all curled up on the couch with DH.

My old, dear departed cat, wasn't pleased when I went away for nearly 3 weeks. Strange, because he never acknowledged me when I was there, probably didn't miss me on a day to day basis and didn't really care about me either way. BUT, something clearly set him off when I got back (maybe he was just p'd off because I WAS back). He was fine with me all evening, not exactly cuddly, but he never was. Didn't give me funny looks, attack me or otherwise show his displeasure. It wasn't until I took my jet-lag to bed with me and settled in for a good 18 hour sleep when he took his revenge and peed all over the duvet. Right on top of me. He must have saved that bladder-full all day because the bedding was soaked, parts of me were soaked and the mattress was soaked.

I I love cats. They are so weird. Me too. My cat will stand stoically by his dish when he needs water. He just stands there silently staring at it until one of us notices him and then fills the dish. Weirdo.

Cats seem to be more irritated with humans in general. My dogs only get uptight when they can tell I have been cheating on them. This happens a lot. I cannot resist a fur baby.

My cat would sit in my lap all day if I let him. However, he does not like it when I talk. It interrupts his sleeping. If I ignore the stink eye, he reaches up and puts his paw squarely on my lips. He knows how to get his point across.

Weirdo. Mine stands by his dish when he needs water. The full, flowing, filtered water fountain dish. He will sit there and stare until you turn on the faucet in the tub for him to drink his fill.

Holly is 14, blind and sleeps pretty much all the time. But come 2, she is right there at my feet asking for food. It's like she has this built in alarm clock. Once she eats, off she trots back to bed! When our cats were young, we only fed them wet food once a week on Sunday mornings. We started it because we slept in on Saturday but got up at the same time on Sunday morning for church. Then when dh and I were both recovering from illness and surgery, we stopped going to church on Sunday mornings. Those cats would only bug us on Sunday mornings for their wet food. Even during a staycation where we slept in every day. --I think the little buggers can actually read. My cats know the difference between when I leave because I'm going on a trip or something fun and when I go to the hospital. Dh says that when I'm hospitalized, the cats are all worried and greet him at the door every night looking for me. Our female will also stand in my spot on the bed at bedtime, meow, and look down at my spot. Doesn't happen when I go away for a few days with friends. I also don't get the cold shoulder when I come back from the hospital. My female cat is 14 and is getting less mobile. She will sit in front of the sofa, staring and wanting me to pick her up. Then when I finally get into position to pick her up without hurting my back, she'll run off. Then she'll come back, wanting to try that nonsense again.

All the time! She gets annoyed if I get up too early, if I sleep too late, when I leave for work, don't give her a treat when she wants one. She has a HUGe personality and isn't afraid to show it.

Yes Our GSD doesn't like to cuddle or be petted when she is sleeping. Our Persian hates to be picked up so he meows really loudly when dd picks him up.

My boxer gets aggravated if I move too much if she's laying down near me. She literally stomps off. my cat Eddie would flip me off most of the time if he could. He is soooo moody. But he's my baby. My other dog Cheech and other cat Charlie are carefree. Nothing seems to bother them.

Kit gets annoyed when I kiss her sometimes, it is impossible to tell when I am allowed to kiss her or not, so I have to kiss cautiously less I get swiped at. Kit also gets annoyed when I won't let her steal my scissors when I am scrapbooking or if we don't share our watermelon or Popsicles with her. Jo Buttons gets annoyed if her sitting box is not on the scrapbook table or if I have out something in it. Walter gets annoyed when I am reading in bed because I should be spooning him and the book gets in the way of me kissing him. (He is the most insanely snuggly cat in the world, it is awesome!)
