The Friends of the Earth a group that supported Bernie in the primaries have now come out and urged their supporters to vote for Hillary over Green Party 's Jill Stein. They feel the Green Party has been missing from the big fights that are important to progressives like same sex marriage, Keystone Pipeline, and the $15 minimum wage. They also feel The Green Party doesn't have a track record. They feel "The Green Party is a politician organization in name only though we wish it was much more." They ended their endorsement with "The progressive movement is beginning to change the national dialogue on many issues. Now is the time to consolidate our movement's power - marshall our energies to elect Hillary Clinton and then hold her accountable. This is the strategic way forward for all the issues we care for." I read Trump's 100 day plan if he is elected President. When I read it I was reminded of the scorch and burn policy and that it would be applied to our country in his misguided attempt to create jobs in the fossil fuel field. He intends to let the Keystone Pipeline be built. He promises to cut all funding for climate change and apply it to fixing our water system and infrastructure. There is nothing wrong in earmarking funds toward the infrastructure but we can't ignore climate change. It shouldn't be an either or situation but understand that both are important to the future of this country. The environment is important to progressives and with a President Trump and a Republican controlled Congress our environment will take a big hit. Another reminder why it's important for progressives to make sure a Democrat is in the White House and the Democrats get control of the Senate.
