I just got home from the Bella Blvd She Loves Color event. It was inspiring and exhausting. We received an abundance of product in each workshop, plus so much free product, my table mate's husband bought me a $7 piece of luggage at the thrift store and when I loaded my workshop and freebie product it weighed 30 pounds. If you are interested next year will be October 12, 13 and 14. The educators are Celine Navarro, Jill Yegerlehner (Jillibean), Jen Gallagher, Paige Evans and Stephanie Smokovich (Bella Blvd). The price will be $425. If you are interested get on the list by emailing nilmarie@bellablvd.net.

Oh I wanted to hear all about this. My scrapbook kit Paisleys and Polkadots was participating in this and I was excited to hear how it went. I take it a huge success. I wonder where they will do it next year. I am glad you had a great time! Share some of your projects or what you learned at it! I would love to hear more!

It was pretty amazing. It will be at the same hotel in Milwaukee next year. We took 5 classes (one was a double class). We made 12 two page layouts - each one with a calendar and designated month. This was by Stephanie. We made a traveler's journal by Webster's pages, two layouts and a traveler's journal by Amy Tan, a Doodlebug amazing summer album and a Stacy Julian album about your home and everyone in it. It was definately a full, timefilled event. Probably the only complaint I had was one of the designers requested we bring certain supplies and we never touched them. Those supplies took up almost entire plastic case. And she had no instructions, but will hopefully be e-mailing us the powerpoint. My girlfriends and I won't be attending next year. It is just alot of money when you add in airfare, hotel and meals, as well as shopping. And three of us shared a room.

I would love to have taken a Doodlebug class, they have always been my favorite. But in a way I would be afraid to meet the owner in case she didn't live up to my expectations, I would be disappointed if she wasn't super nice like she seems to be. LOL

You would not have been disappointed at all with the Doodlebug owner and her sister. They were totally nice, sweet and classy. And the album we put together is so fun. I have never seen such cute enamel shapes...cactus, pink flamingos, pineapples, etc.

So are the workshops included in the price or are they extra? I noticed in some of the information it talked about avoiding scheduling conflicts and having an option to attend class or just pick up a kit.

I noticed in some of the information it talked about avoiding scheduling conflicts and having an option to attend class or just pick up a kit. There were 6 workshops (3 per day) as part of the main she loves color event. Then they had designer day with several additional classes with different instructors. The class kits for designer day were for sale for pick up. THis was all for an additional cost depending on the class.

I really, really, really would have loved to go but it would have been hard to swing it financially, and the timing wasn't good for me either.

TFS the link. Sounds like a great opportunity but just a bit far to travel for me
