I can start one every week or so. I love talking about planners, talking to people who plan and what they are doing with their planners. It's so much fun (for me anyway) to talk to others who plan. We can talk about stickers, inserts, embellishments, planner brands, colours and textures, anything really.
Planning seems to be really big in Australia right now. Did it start there? There is a big group of planners in Asia (all over), too. I think that is so cool. I know lots of people from Europe who plan, too. Lots from UK and other countries. Love hearing about how you got into planning, why you plan if you have a reason and what you use your planners for. Oh I just love it all who am I kidding?
What say you?

I am very new to the planner world. Years ago I was a calendar on the wall girl and it worked very well. Then came smartphones and I discovered that, after years of being told that I just needed to find an app that worked for me, that I really do not like electronic planners. I love the paper. I love the physical aspect of being able to glance at my planner during the day (I try to keep it open on my desk), just like I did with my wall calendar. Yeah, yeah, yeah I could "glance at my phone but it is such a pain. I have to pick it up, swipe it, open the app, open the calender, close the app and then put the darn thing down. With a paper planner I am done glancing before I would be done swiping my smart phone let alone opening the app.

With a paper planner I am done glancing before I would be done swiping my smart phone let alone opening the app. I need to set up my planner for November and I also need to add some inserts for things like restaurant eating (I have inserts for that) and I have inserts for banking (and other things). I have lots and lots of inserts that I have had made. They are fun to track and then I know how much money I have spent in a particular month or where I have eaten and how it was. That kind of thing. It's just for fun (well the banking thing isn't for fun, but it is out of necessity). I belong to a few groups on Facebook that are either sticker groups or just planning groups and we talk about inserts and things and it's fun to see what some sellers make. There are quite a few really popular ones out there. I found someone I like in Canada and she ships to me every few months. I also have a designer who makes me printable inserts which I take to either my former employer or Staples and have them printed. They are really pretty and I have a year's worth of inserts printed on them. That, too, is fun. I have lots of planner stamps and I haven't used them yet, but I have the best intentions. I just need to do it. I have the ink I want to use, too. I need to get my act together.

Happy planner question. I would like to make my own calendar pages - monthly and weekly. I have searched the interwebs to no avail - I am looking for a Word template I can edit for both. Any resources you know of?

I've loved paper planners since I used them in school (before digital planners were really a thing... I think some professionals had PDAs but that's it) and have used them ever since. I always liked cute planners and used color coded highlighters, etc., but only recently got into decorating them because of the inspiration I've seen online (mostly through studio calico).
I use the Get to Work Book which I love, but I don't use it for work projects because I leave it at home (I don't want to explain something so decorated on my work desk and it's bulking and I use my outlook calendar/a paper to do list for work). I use it to write down appointments and other reminders and to do lists, but I am often at a loss for what to fill up all the extra space with. I want it to look decorated, complete and useful, but I haven't quite found a formula yet.
I wish there was an easy way to post photos here so we could upload planner pages... there used to be a weekly planner thread to share your page on Studio Calico but whoever was doing it (not a SC employee) stopped posting it.
ETA: I also don't use my planner for work in case I want to share photos online since my work is confidential (I am an attorney), but I do typically include when I have meetings scheduled so I make sure that I am in the office.

Love the idea!
I have been using paper planners since forever. My first one was a Garfield planner (yes, the cat), I later bought a Filofax look-alike, and 15 or so years ago I bought three planners from the Italian brand The Bridge, and they are still beautiful (and have tight rings!). These days I use mostly planners from Gillio and van der Spek (I like to switch every few weeks), and use traveller notebooks for everything else. I just bought a chicsparrow Sidekick in caramel, and am super excited!!!

I like the idea. I think there would be plenty of people who would love that. I'm not sure it would be for me specifically as I have come to accept the fact that I'm just a Moleskine gal. I have a few Passion Planners and ordered a Plum Paper Planner (student edition) for the last half of this year (Jul-Dec 2016) and they just sit here. In the past, I've also used the Erin Condren Life Planner. I always come back to my Large Moleskine 18-month Planner and have already bought the XL size for 2017. I'm also not a big decorator. I use stickers but they're mostly functional. Now having said all of this, I think I would enjoy seeing a planner thread. Would there also be a place to share our planner pages like there is for our scrapbooking layouts?

I struggled the first 4 months with the Cocoa Daisy TN but have started to hit my stride with them in the last 2 months. But looking for ways to improve.

Mostly for tracking (excersise, sleep, pain levels). I have another for tracking and planning meals, a couple are used for Spanish lessons, cars, pets, books to read, knitting, jul (xmas), vacation planning, religious studies.....

I always like the planner threads. I've used a binder style planner for over 20 years and it's fun to see how they've evolved. I also like the suggestion of sharing photos of our projects. I love seeing everyone's pretty projects! I'm @mylittlepaperaddiction on Instagram. I'd love to check out other planners's accounts ☺

If I haven't posted the thread someone else come up with an idea to post. I am not always creative with ideas about what to do with my planner.

I'm not always creative in mine, either. Sometimes I decorate, a lot of times I don't. My favorite recent creative planner thing is shaker dashboards. I made my first one this week and love it! Maybe check that idea out, Elannah.
